DAY 5

This morning, we were able to provide 20 meals for the volunteers in Barangay Nangka and San Mateo Rizal border checkpoint. It is the last day of our food donations, and once again we would like to thank everyone who supported our cause!

We hope that these posts are able to bring some positivity and serve as a reminder that we can make a difference through collective efforts. We hope that we all continue to support our frontliners, especially since the ECQ has been extended. Let’s continue to fight the spread as a community 😃

DAY 4

We were able to provide 40 meals for the volunteers in the night shift today. We could not have done this without your overwhelming support! Let us all continue to support our frontliners in our own way 😄We hope you are all safe and healthy!

DAY 3

The day shift volunteers in Barangay Nangka and San Mateo Rizal border checkpoint were able to receive 50 meals today for their lunch!

We hope that this reminds everyone that with our collective efforts, we can make a difference in others’ lives. Let us all continue to support our frontliners in our own ways.

MARAMING SALAMAT!

As of 12:00 pm of April 2, we were able to surpass our initial target of Php 9,600 and raised a total of Php 42,700!!

Today marked the start of the food distributions in Barangay Nangka and San Mateo Rizal border checkpoint and 40 meals of 200 were distributed. We will continue to provide meals for the frontliners in the next few days.

We were also able to donate Php 9,300 to the Foundation for Advancement of Surgical Education Inc. which helps fund the equipment and meals of the surgery department of PGH.

Aid for Aid is raising money, not for one but TWO beneficiaries!

Our first beneficiary is the group of volunteers at Barangay Nangka and San Mateo Rizal border checkpoint. There are 50 volunteers in the checkpoint ensuring our safety everyday. We hope to aid them through the small act of giving them meals and making them feel appreciated because we salute them and their service to society. From our initial goal of 100 meals, we now have the funds to provide 200 meals.

Due to the overwhelming support in our cause, we decided to expand our reach and have a second beneficiary, the Surgery Department of UP-PGH. There is currently a shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and we hope to help them through donating monetary support. Our medical workers need our help to overcome this pandemic.

We will be accepting donations until 12 noon on April 2, 2020. We hope you could lend a helping hand by aiding our volunteers.

The enhanced community quarantine has forced many Filipinos to stay at home—away from the spread of the COVID-19, but not everyone is as fortunate. The skeletal workforce continue to work and serve the Filipinos despite the pandemic. Frontliners like volunteers at checkpoints risk their safety and health for ours.
