A New Tool in the Optics Toolbox™ The new generation of optical filters introduced by EVERIX offers diverse values for various market
segments.
Founded in 2015, the U.N.-dubbed International Year of Light, Everix introduces a new tool for the optics
toolbox: ultra-thin flexible interference optical filters. We possess a proprietary technology for non-deposition fabrication of simple to complex
thin film optical filters with both rigid and flexible substrates. Fundamental difference between
our technology and the traditional deposition
-based technologies enables consistent volume
production and economies of scale beyond conventional possibilities. Examples of unprecedented values are:
-Large-volume consistency, which is not sufficient in current technologies, saves significant money and time
by eliminating frequent calibration of other system components.
-Encapsulation of the delicate nano-layers in protective jackets renders the handling and processing of filters
simpler and more cost-efficient for manufacturers.
-Everix filters are ultra-thin, at least 10 times thinner than traditional filters. This is specifically important to
applications such as cellphone camera or medical probes for which miniaturization is a key to success.
-Scalability, and therefore fast turn-around time of Everix’s filter manufacturing process is regarded by
potential customers as an unmatched value for applications requiring high volumes of filters.
-Unprecedented economies of scale increase the margins for manufacturers of products that require large
surface areas coated by filters. It also generates growth in the market size for such products. Examples are safety
goggles for soldiers and doctors as well as those for migraine and sleep disorder prevention by selective filtering
of certain light wavelengths.
