This is a page for me to post the miniatures that I paint. All the work posted will be my own unless I credit another artist. My Instagram is jay.corbek
My first commission, a human blood bowl team. I was given free reign on the scheme so I went with Griffindor colours.
Tyranid prime done, I had alot of fun with this. Making the "sarlac lotus" was too.
Tyranid prime. First tyranid ever and first non celshaded mini in a while. The inspiration for the carapace comes from a jeweld scarab, the spiky parts from an iron snail. Nature is dope.
I'm nearly done with the carapace, I thought I was then saw a few small areas I'd missed. I'm very happy with it so far.
Right so I'm trying to paint the carapace like a jewel scarab. I'm aiming for an nmm/ reflective look I think it's coming along some blending needs more work though.
Made it in one piece. Let me know it you see it this weekend
The base for my diorama is done, see you at warhammer fest. Even though I really want to post pictures of the final piece I'm going to wait until the event.
What started out as I'll just kitbash a librarian real quick has accidentally turned into a small diorama.
The end of this project is very much in site, just the base to go now.
Nearly halfway through the ink work on this stormtalon, this is the hardest part for me to focus on but we're getting there.
Commander shadow.
Some closer shots.
I've painted a wall, the rocky parts atleast, still the pipe ladder and gantry to go...
Continued...
After finishing this section of the rock, I'm really glad it's starting to look like how I pictured it in my head, even if it is taking much longer.
I managed to sit down in front of my painting table today and make some progress which I haven't in a long time, this is where we were upto when I sat down.
Blight Lord for scale.
I spent the majority of the Bank Holiday finishing the base of my display board so I can hopefully paint it this week.
Started to paint the pieces of scatter terain for my display board.
Finished the Lord Contagion. I've included a before and after inking for anyone interested in that sort of thing.
Plague marines finished, aimed for a scheme similar to there 30k colours.
More pox walkers for the plague horde.
First 10 pox walkers are done. I really think my celshade style suits them, they are very fun to paint.
Finished the first of my pox walkers. I've used a white wash in places to try and give the impression of it being wet, not sure how it comes across though.
I've started on the Death Guard side of dark vengeance I've had in a draw for a while, first 10 pox walkers under way. These are alot of fun to paint.
Ezekiel, chief librarian of the Dark angels and keeps of the keys is finished. I tried some free hand for the banner and DA symbol on the shoulder. I also really like how the psy blade turned out.
After a long break dealing with real world issues I've finally finished this unit.
