Now that we’ve started getting into full swing with business, I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and fill you in on the company’s journey.

I’m AJ, owner of Wandering Star Candle Co. I’ve always had a love for two things… the outdoors and candles, mainly because they both offer something renewing for the spirit. As many of us can agree, being outside makes us happier, healthier, and more kind to the world around us. And I feel the same can be said about candles. Every night I enjoy lighting a candle to end a long day of work and let the scented glow relax me or take me away to a great memory.

This in essence is how Wandering Star Candles came about. During the pandemic, I grew anxious for travel outside however most parks and destinations were closed to visitors. So I started making candles as a way to calm my mind and keep busy. I chose scents that reminded me of being outdoors in the forest, on the beach, and hiking in Texas Hill Country. Slowly I started sharing these candles with friends and family, who in turn supported my new found dream to turn this new hobby into a business.

I am excited for the continued journey.
