TOPIC: KINDNESS BEGETS KINDNESS

TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 19:31-END

MEMORY VERSE: 2 SAMUEL 19:33_"And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and l will feed thee with me in Jerusalem" (KJV).

FACTS

◼LIFE IS A SEED, IT IS MEANT TO BE PLANTED. SO WHILE YOU LIVE PER DAY ENSURE THAT YOU ARE PLANTING THE SEEDS THAT WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME. PLANT SEEDS THAT ARE GENERATIONAL, PLANT SEEDS OF IMPACT, SEEDS OF TRANSFORMATION.

◼ WHATEVER SEED YOU PLANT IS REPAYABLE. AS LONG AS IT WAS PLANTED, THEN IT MUST BE HARVESTED SOMEDAY. IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME, BUT BE SURE OF YOUR HARVEST. THEREFORE WE MUST PLANT SEEDS THAT WE WILL BE PROUD TO HARVEST TOMORROW. SEEDS THAT YOU WILL NOT REGRET WHEN IT GERMINATES. SEEDS THAT YOUR OFFSPRING WILL GLADLY STEP INTO FOR CELEBRATION.

◼ EVERY KINDNESS YOU EVER RECEIVED, INDEBTS YOU FOR LIFE TO REPAY THEM. IF YOU CAN'T REPAY THEM, THEN DON'T RECEIVE THEM. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE LIVING AS DEBTORS TODAY BECAUSE OF THE KINDNESS THEY HAVE REFUSED TO REPAY.

◼IT IS WICKEDNESS TO RECEIVE KINDNESS AND NOT RECIPROCATE IT. IT IS AN ACT OF EVIL. TO BE FAVOURED AND YOU FAIL TO FAVOUR OTHERS. DON'T BE SURPRISED IF GOD CALLS YOU A WICKED MAN FOR FAILING TO RELEASE THE SEED OF KINDNESS TO OTHERS

INTRODUCTION

The first three verses of our Bible passage talk about King David and Barzillai. The Bible recorded that that Barzillai was a wealthy man. Hé was the one that sustained David at Mahanaim while he was being persecuted by his son Absalom. Himself, Shobi and Machir remained loyal and hosted David and his men during the trying time, which was risky and expensive (2 Samuel 17:27-28). As soon as Absalom died, and the rebellion ended, leaving David ready to head back and take his place back as the rightful king in Jerusalem. Amongst the three.

- May the Lord, whose is rich in mercy lavish you and your family with his mercies in Jesus name.
- This week, favour will flow in your direction in Jesus name.
