NEW! Make a set of dominoes with your Cricut and this cut file.

When I first got my Cricut it cut perfectly. But of course over time mats just arenโ€™t as sticky and your blade gets dull. I went to the store to buy some replacements. However, after a few more months, I noticed my paper was tearing more frequently and my cuts werenโ€™t clean. There were a lot of areas I had to go over with my knife.

But I HAD been cutting a lot so I just shrugged it off and bought more blades. But after a handful of projects my paper was tearing AGAIN! I took the blade out and held it up next to another new one I had on hand. The tip was completely dull! How and why did this keep happening?

After some thorough research I learned that there are two different fine tip blades, and they are made for different machines. I have a maker and I was buying the regular fine point blade ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ what I needed was the PREMIUM fine point blade. This tip is made out of much stronger material and it made to handle more, just like the Cricut Maker.

Now my projects are simple and stress free again! CuttingTip #1: Make sure you have the right materials and tools for your cutting machine. Check the packaging before you buy.

I didn't know the difference between Cricut regular blades and premium blades! Thanks, Layered Craft! https://www.instagram.com/p/CGqEAv5hkkd/?utm_medium=copy_link

I've got a brand new SVG file to release on Sunday the 29th! Follow me on Instagram this week for hints about what it will be.

I was so excited when I woke up on Christmas morning of 2019 to a Cricut machine under the Christmas tree! My husband didnโ€™t see much of me during the next few days; I was much too busy crafting to even leave our office room.

In the following months of 2020, for reasons you can probably guess, I found myself spending a lot of time at home, and a lot of my at-home evenings Cricut-ing. I took an online class from Jennifer Maker to learn how to create my own SVGโ€™s, and it was a game changer! Soon after my first designs were cut and glued together, I uploaded the patterns to Etsy, and SVGโ€™s From Ana was born.

In the coming months I will be uploading a bunch of new designs! Stay tuned.
