Is Zach Wilson worth the 2nd pick?

In 2020 he completely changed the way he played the previous season. If you slide right you will see his passing graph. In 2019 he incorporated much more passes over the middle and struggled mightily. In 2020 however, BYU made the offense focus more toward drag, verticals, and outside throws. Wilson’s passing number skyrocketed, so is he worth the 2nd overall pick? Some might say no because he eliminated some of the throws he will have to make at the next level. Your thoughts?

Is Clowney even an elite pass rusher anymore?

His highest production he has had was 2017 in Houston with 9.5 sacks. Since then he has slid, last year he had no sacks in Tennessee mostly due to injury. It’s the same story year in and year out with Clowney, he gets hurt...

Dude was jumping out of the gym at his pro day!

Both Bob and Kyle have him going in the middle of the first round, and could have thrust him into the 2nd place spot behind Surtain.

Jaycee Horn was a stud for the Gamecocks and will be the prototypical physical corner in the NFL. Bob had him going to the Giants and Kyle had him landing in Philly.

Are the panthers out of the QB draft race?

Kyle’s list is based on playing football from the neck up...

The QB’s that played on the big stage and got it done consistently. The only outlier being Zach Wilson because of his enormous upside. However, Lawrence, Jones, and Fields have delivered on the college big stage. Lance just hasn’t proven he can get it done with only a 17 game resume.

Who got it more right Bob or Kyle?

Is Rashod Bateman a first rounder?

The man put up solid numbers on his pro day. Also, happened to be a lightning rod for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. At just over 6 foot he isn’t the biggest receiver, but his caring ability and route running is definitely pro level. Could he go somewhere like Green Bay at the end of the first round?

Game changer...

Where will he go? Apparently there is strong interest from teams like the Broncos, Panthers, Dolphins, Giants, Raiders, and Lions. He probably won’t be around long past pick 5. With his speed, reactive instincts, and ability to cover tight ends and running backs someone is getting a guaranteed playmaker on defense.

They definitely know who it is at this point...

Mac Jones is the prototype for a Kyle Shanahan successful offense. He is big, accurate, and apparently very smart. Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins are similar QBs who have meshed well in the Shanahan offense.

Fields has been in big games his whole career, and has also shown he is the new generation of mobile qb. He can be a threat on the ground as well as the air, but lacked consistency in his final season at Ohio State. He fits the Shanahan offense because it uses the boot keep play action so much. His athletic ability paired with Shanahan could be the thing Kyle is looking for to finally win in the Super Bowl.

Trey Lance has the most likelihood for boom or bust. He has been compared to Pat Mahomes or he could end up being another Dwayne Haskins. His athletic ability also gives him the new era type of sizzle to his game. It looks like he will be more of a project however, so him taking a backseat to Jimmy G could be a possibility.

Mack Jones shined against air today. However, he did run a sub 4.8 40 and has delivered in the senior bowl practices. Can he make the leap without the added dimension of being able to run the ball?

Patriots seem like they have gone all in to support Cam with some weapons. But, the Bucs have retained their super bowl roster. The Cardinals pick up JJ and AJ Green. The Broncos have added two premium CBs to their needy secondary.

It really seems like the Steelers are going to have to let him walk with their cap situation. There are a lot of WR needy teams like the Eagles that make sense for the young talent to land.

Even after Deshaun has met with the new Texans head coach they still proclaim to the media that Deshaun is going nowhere. Is this real or is it all a facade to keep his value high?
