September is Su***de Prevention Month. It’s so so important for individuals to know they are not alone and there is support out there to navigate the heavier times. Let’s all do better about normalizing these conversations to better support those feeling comfortable reaching out for support when it’s needed.

If you are unsure of how to contact yours or a loved one’s local mental health mobile crisis team, you can call 988 from anywhere in the United States 24/7 to get connected with a live individual to help support you and connect you with the correct crisis team local to you.

For Massachusetts residents, the Behavioral Health Help Line (833-773-2445) is also a great tool to get connected to increased mental health based supports (crisis and otherwise).

I direct a local mobile mental health crisis team for my full-time job and would be more than happy to help share resources or support to anyone who sees this and needs it. The world is better with you in it and there are people out there ready to help. 🖤

I’ve been pretty MIA on this platform this year. Life has thrown some busy days our way and I’m using my time to be more intentional with how I spend my time. This doesn’t mean I’m not creating. Oddly enough, I’m probably busier than I have been in previous years with customs.

Instead, I’m creating when I feel the desire to create not out of a necessity to prep for the next big thing or event. It’s led me to completing some fun customs this year.

Posted here is a rainbow of colors chosen for a custom order of Wyatt’s Autism Acceptance tees. Bringing together my love for advocacy (especially when it comes to my boys) and creating is my absolute favorite. Cicely Nicholas and her work crew made this order a fun one! The best part was seeing Wyatt’s face when he saw how many people continue to support him.

Today was a great first day kicking back into the market season! My favorite part about markets is connecting with customers over the messages/designs on my apparel. This new tee was a hit today and a good reminder for myself personally amongst all the self-talk noise. 🖤

Hot off the press this morning as I prep for upcoming markets and reflect on it also being Mental Health Awareness month.

Advocating for mental health has been a passion of mine for quite some time. Years ago when I first pursued becoming a BCBA, I longed for a way to utilize the science of behavior analysis in a more mental health based applied setting. About a month ago, I started a new career in which I’ve been able to find such a role as part of an emergency services crisis team.

Being a part of this team has provided as a daily reminder to how important it is to support and protect the mental health of yourself and others. I am so grateful to be a part of a team that is so dedicated to provided this kind of support for others during their times of need.

Sp, here’s your reminder to do something small today to take care of you. For me, that means using my hour free “kid free” to create things that bring me joy instead of worrying about the dishes in the sink. What does self care look like for you today?

Hi, I still exist! I know I have been really MIA so far this year. I over worked myself last holiday season. With that and my personal life/other jobs, I was feeling burnt out creatively. Every little thing to do with my small business felt like a big “to-do.” I’ve made some positive changes in my personal life and I’m finally starting to feel rejuvenated again!

As the stress of the day to day responsibilities can get the best of us, it can be easy to forget how important being kind is. In the last couple weeks, I had an impactful interaction that left me feeling defeated. It left me feeling talentless and got me questioning my “why.” I walked into the Small Business Saturday event with questioning why I even deserved to be there.

Then, the magic happened. The magic of all of you customers coming out to support all of the businesses who vulnerably put their hard work on the line; new customers and returning ones alike.

I received so many kind words that day and messages about positivity that day. I had one interaction in particular that still sits with me today. A couple of women were buying this tee for a friend of theirs. The reason being that this friend takes space out of her own day to stand outside her home with a sign reminding others to “spread kindness.” It reminded me that even a matter of a few minutes in our days can provide a positive impact to so many people around us. It made me see how my products remind people of those moments. That is no small feat.

I’ll hop off this soapbox to just say thank you. Thank you to everyone who encourages me and supports me in the multitude of ways you can support a small business. And remember to be kind. Always. 🖤

I am absolutely blown away by this weekend. I hit a ✨record sales✨ day yesterday and today wasn’t too far behind. This market fueled me in all the ways I needed to keep pushing through this holiday season. Here’s a huge shoutout to for cultivating such a beautiful event. I may or may not have been jamming to some Cyndi Lauper this morning and it reminded me to update y’all on the fundraising efforts for the Center for Reproductive Rights.

So far, there has been just under $100 raised from sales of these tees! I’ve decided that I’m going to keep the fundraising efforts going at least until November.
