Girls Game vs UCD November 30th

26/11/2021

**UCC vs. UL - Men's Senior Game - Match Report**

A great first win of the season for the Senior Men’s team against UL. The boys started off brilliantly with Cormac Hennessy missing his first two shots and UL taking the lead. Shots started to fall and our birthday boy Ronan Fitzpatrick was able to knockdown some tough shots to end the first quarter with UCC up 16-11.

The second quarter saw Stevan Manojlovic’s leadership on full display, he controlled the tempo of the game. Steve was the first to tell Andrew to slow down his shot after he airballed a free throw a foot to the left of the hoop.

Tom Bornemann amassed an incredible one steal in his time on the court, it was the deciding factor of the first half. UCC led 43-29 at the break.

Sean O’Flynn was gifted a new nickname by Cormac during the third quarter, his 3rd nickname in 2 games. He didn’t do much else. Ronan Cregan dropped a whopping 2 points and was as dominant as a 7 footer should be in a college game.

Eoin O’Sullivan led the team in scoring as he always does and got hit in the face by the ball at one point. Seamus Carney refused to celebrate with the team after as he has prior commitments 👀. Danny O’Mahony got his first win as a UCC coach and we’re sure it will be his last.

Final score: UCC 90-76 UL

Top scorers: Eoin O’Sullivan - 22pts, Cormac Hennessy 17pts, Ronan Fitzpatrick 17pts

Player of the Game: Referee Ger Daly
Written by: Cormac Hennessy
