Auto Trap of Anxiety
Auto Trap of Anxiety
By the way, in 1945, the first production car of the Volkswagen Type 1 brand, better known as the Beetle, was offered to representatives of the British car industry. They refused, calling the future "Beatle" ugly and useless. A quarter of a century will pass, and the Beetle will become the most popular car on the planet, and the British car industry will turn into a laughing stock. And if it comes to that, then the main German reconnaissance vehicle of World War II - the Volkswagen Type 62, also known by the nickname "Kübelwagen", is built on the chassis of the "Beetle". By the way, that's what famous automobile firms were doing during the Second World War. The total circulation of the Volkswagen Beatle was 21,529,464. This is an absolute world record for a single generation model. Even the legendary Ford T is inferior to the Beetle by more than 6 million.
In any case, today he is not the main Volkswagen in history. According to the total sales of cars of all generations, Golf has established itself in the first place. They were riveted over 40 million copies. By the way, the Volkswagen AG concern includes not only Volkswagen itself, but also a bunch of other brands, including mass Skoda and SEAT, as well as premium Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Bugatti. Volkswagen's flagship plant in Wolfsburg, Germany, not only assembles cars, but also makes branded... sausages. They even have a part number. By the way, VW produces more sausages than wheelbarrows. At the moment, about 50 different models of the Volkswagen brand are represented on the world market. Volkswagen is very fond of sports, and especially football. The concern owns the professional football club Wolfsburg from the city of the same name, which plays in the German Bundesliga. In addition, VW has been supporting the Russian national football team for many years. Once Volkswagen was in the shoes of the most valuable company in the world. As of October 29, 2008, the corporation's market value was $350 billion. In the title of the most valuable company in the world, Volkswagen AG stayed exactly one day. Many Volkswagen models are related to geography. The Passat and Scirocco, for example, are named after the wind. And "Golf" is a hint of the Gulf Stream, and not at all the favorite game of millionaires.
Yes, yes, that's it. Literally translated from German, Volkswagen means "people's car". And he thought, by the way, just like that. In the second half of the 30s, Ferdinand Porsche - yeah, the same one! - Signed a contract with the top leadership of Germany (remind who then taxied in Berlin?) About the development of a mass car for ordinary Germans. Volkswagen was founded in May 1937 with a promise to provide local hard workers with personal transport in a couple of years. In reality, ordinary buyers saw the finished car only after the war. Finishing with an unpleasant topic for Volkswagen, we note that many are looking for (and find!) References to the pre-war regime in Germany even ... in the Volkswagen logo. The internet is full of pictures of a wheel cap with the VW logo in motion. Doesn't remind you of anything, does it?
Throughout the existence of the Volkswagen company, its logo has also changed. The very first version of the emblem fully reflected the essence of N**i Germany. Over time, the German cross was removed from the logo and only letters deciphering the brand name remained. This is perhaps the most easily explained car logo. Simple and tasteful.
Today, Volkswagen is one of the largest automotive companies in the world. Its factories are located in 15 countries of the world and are undoubtedly in great demand. Choosing a Volkswagen car, you get German quality, comfort and ease of use of the vehicle.
The original Beetle model was produced for another quarter of a century, after which the company's management was forced to stop production in Europe and move the plant to Latin America. Perhaps the "beetle" was in great demand to this day, but the model no longer met the strict German principles of safety and environmental protection.
Over the years of the fascinating history of the German brand Volkswagen, a huge number of models have been created, which to this day does not leave indifferent not only the German buyer.
In order to establish mass production of Volkswagen models, it was decided to build a plant in the city of Wolfsburg. Unfortunately, the imminent approach of the war greatly interfered with production. The plant managed to produce only a few cars, one of which was driven by Adolf Hi**er himself.
In wartime, the production of cars was stopped, and the plant began the production of military ammunition. After the war, the company was influenced by England and in 1945 an order was given to produce 20,000 cars. And only after about 10 years, the plant began to produce cars "Volkswagen" according to the first drawings of the designer.
Ferdinand Porsche did not take long to wait and soon presented to the public a new model, which was called "Volkswagen". For about two years, the car was tested and tested in every possible way. Already in 1937, the VW30 model was released, and in 1938 the car acquired, already today, all recognizable outlines. The design of the model was highly appreciated by many knowledgeable people. The car instantly gained popularity, they talked about it, articles were written. In one of the newspaper articles, the model was compared with a beetle, later this name became the main recognizable feature of the German brand.
The beginning of the history of the German automobile brand "Volkswagen" was preceded by a meeting between the designer Ferdinand Porsche and Adolf Hi**er in the Berlin hotel "Kaiserhof". And it happened in 1933. Hi**er and Porsche entered into an agreement, according to which, the second was to design a "people's car". It meant that the unit was publicly available for the average worker. In general, if we take into account all the requirements of Hi**er, then one of the main advantages of the car should be its ease of conversion from a family vehicle into a piece of military equipment - to accommodate soldiers and a machine gun. To be honest, in Germany they have always taken the production of cars seriously, and even more so in the difficult war years.
