This is Federico Garcia LORCA, an early 20th century Spanish poet. He was a radical, gay, talented musician and interested in ‘deep song’ and ‘dark grief’. He was murdered by fascists during the Spanish Civil War. Here at Ridgewood Productions we have been fascinated by his lecture Theory and Play of the Duende for some time. Duende is, according to Lorca, a mysterious unexplained dark force, found particularly in MUSIC.
