I am running for a seat on the DSCC so that I can expand my contribution to the Democratic Party. I am currently a Precinct Captain, serve on the Precinct Captain Steering Committee, and am one of the organizers of the monthly "Drinking Liberally" group in Slidell.
I am a retired teacher and have also worked as a Community Relations Manager, Volunteer Director and Patient Advocate at a local hospital. I am formerly the Program Director for Sunshine House, a day treatment center for adults with mental illness. I am currently a CASA volunteer, Vice President of the Slidell Art League and a Commissioner for the Slidell Cultural and Public Affairs Department. I believe in volunteering!
I also believe that this is such a critical time that we all have to do our part and participate in our government. If not now, when?
I am proud of the policies of the Democratic Party and believe we are on the right side of history.
