SASCO UNISA SUNNYSIDE ON THE INVIGILATOR APP AND CTA ISSUES

Prior to the the commencement of the examination we communicated with the dean of students to scrap out the use of the invigilator app we succinctly stated the reasons, inter alia, we listed the issues of

1) our marginalized students who opt to utilize public entities in pursuit of a conducive place to write exams.in these entities it is not possible to control the movements of individuals.
2)the evidential dysfunctional system embedded in the app that results in inability of submitting

The list is infinite

Exams are vital in testing the mental capacity and the achievement of the learning outcome, concurrently exams are an integral part of assessments that results to obtainment of what is currently considered as a ticket to a better job.

We are saying exams must not be used as a platform to ensure more discrimination to students by management.we want to make students aware that further engagements with the management are underway. We won't allowe a big eyed nocturnal bird to intimidate us.

Cta

A meeting was held with the College of accounting science to resolve the issue of cta level 2 students. In the meeting the college agreed to solve the issues but we are dismayed on the reckless statement issued by the college post meeting that does not come to any solution. We shall not cease to fight.

To the populace of the university of the land let it be known through our tenacity and determination that we are the arable land that yields good fruits of knowledge.

SASCO UNISA SUNNYSIDE STATEMENT ON THE OPENING OF NEW APPLICANTS
FOR 2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world " Nelson Mandela

The South African Student Congress is always looking forward on welcoming prospective students as this compliments the fundamental point of departure to edification and betterment of our society at large.The cerebral improvement is of paramount importance especially in this era of self realization and re-establishment of a decolonised society.

SASCO rejects the constant increment of application fees. These high application fees have became an impediment to a smooth application process resulting to a number of discouraged aspiring students. The organisation is calling for the scrapping of the proposed R120 application fee which was increased by the management without consulting any students structures.

Nevertheless our call to prospective students to walk in the boulevards of knowledge is resonate.

Students who are applying for social work must do a police clearance and two testimonials, also education students they must have police clearance, these are documents added to certified matric certificate and Id.
