Ang CAP Building o kilala rin bilang Price Mansion, ay ginawa ng isang US Army engineer na si Walter Scott Price. Ang gusali ay ang punong-tanggapan ni Gen. Douglas MacArthur nang siya ay dumating upang palayain ang bansa mula sa pananakop ng mga Hapones

Alam niyo ba na ang Landing Memorial Park ay isa sa mga makasaysayan na lugar sa Leyte kung saan matatagpuan ang rebulto ni Heneral Douglas MacArthur. Dito naganap ang kanyang pangunguna sa pakikipagdigmaan sa mga amerikano noong ika-20 ng Oktubre sa taon ng 1944. Ang rebulto ay nilikha ni Anastacio Caedo na isang manlililok at sampung talampakan ang taas nito. Sa harap ng rebulto ay makikita ang simbolismo at impormasyon tungkol dito na nakasulat sa wikang filipino at ingles.

Si Archie “Archimedes” Prisno ay isang magaling na pintor mula sa Eastern Visayas. Isa siya sa tinaguriang magagaling na pintor sa kanilang siyudad. Sa kaniyang pagpipinta, naniniwala siya sa kasabihang, “The reality of my art is a lie to many.”

Alam niyo ba na ilang buwan pagtapos sumalanta ng bagyong Yolanda, ang TP’s Theater for Development in a Post-Haiyan Context o T4D-PHC ay nagkaroon ng proyekto kasama ang Unicef? Ito ay ang ‘Surâ’, isang piyesa ng teatro na hango mula sa istorya ng mga biktima ng bagyong Yolanda.

He uses sculptures and mixed media to express his art, which promotes the pre-colonial culture of the Philippines. His artworks also involve the use of natural materials and found objects, and whose aesthetic conveys the aging and fading of the once prevalent pre-colonial culture.

His artworks have been featured in multiple art exhibitions, and have received multiple awards, which include:

-Excellence Award, 3rd Malaysia Art Biennale in Kedah, Malaysia, (2018)
-Excellence Award, Shanghai International Contemporary Art Exchange and Exhibition and Workshop, (China, 2017)
-Juror's Choice, Metro Manila Art Award (Philip Morris) Yunchengco Museum, (Philippines, 2015)
-Most Astounding Samarnon Award for Visual Art, Samar Day Celebration, Catbalogan City, (Philippines, 2011)
-First Prize, 58th AAP (Art Association of the Philippines) Annual National Art Competition, Mixed Media Category, (Philippines, 2005)
He is also a member of multiple organizations, including the Renaissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA), Maharlika Artists and Writer's Federation (MAWF), and the Art Association of the Philippines.

Maupay nga kulop from our second artist, Virgilio "Billy" Pomida Jr!

He began drawing at a young age, which led him to pursue a degree in Fine Arts at the University of the East in Manila. He began working as a graphics designer for a government research institute in 1986 and transitioned to doing full-time painting in 2001.

Since then, he's received numerous awards which include, but are not limited to:

-Indicted into the 'Hall of Fame' of the Kulay sa Tubig Annual Invitational Watercolor Competition and Exhibition, (Manila, 2009)
-Grand Prize on the Doña Modesta Singson Gaisano Foundation Painting Contest, (Cebu, 2002)
-Grand Prize of the 1st Paghandum ni Magsaysay Painting Contest, (Cebu, 2007)
-Grand Prize on the Cebu Arts Association 70th Anniversary Painting Competition, (Cebu, 2007)
-First Prize in the Civil Service Commission On-the-Spot Painting Contest, (Tacloban City, 1991)

In addition to this, from 2004 to 2007, he was also a coordinator for Eastern Visayas to the Committee on Visual Arts of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Bulig hit sarayaw! 💃🕺

Mga Ka-Siningrangan, alam niyo ba na sa Samar... 🤔💭 there is yearly pageantry and colorful mat dancing parade that winds through the town's main streets, remembering the Basaynons' two main sources of income – bamboo and mat weaving – through music, dance, and drama. The Banigan-Kawayan festival is commenced every 29th of September to give tribute to the Banig and Kawayan arts and crafts in Basey, Samar.

Maupay nga udto mula kay Dante Enage, ang napakahusay na pintor ng Usbong! 🧑‍🎨

💡 He is better known for his use of Tuba or Coconut Wine as his medium for painting to relive the arts and culture of Visayas. He believes it can gather a larger scale of Visayan people or any art enthusiast and hopefully inspire the younger generation. Through his unique identity, Dante earned a name of his own and has grown in popularity through the years.
