The Canon Canonet was released in 1961, this is what makes Canon’s first entry into the intermediate-class camera market, and also the first of the highly successful Canonet series of 35mm automatic-exposure rangefinder camera. This camera was the start of the Canonet boom! 🔥🤩

This Canonet is very worthy to keep because it’s manually operated and so it can last a lifetime! What’s more is that it comes with shutter speed-priority autoexposure, the camera sets the aperture for you, so it could take nice pictures easily, you just had to press the shutter button. It doesn’t need any battery to operate, the selenium meter cell that generates power is arranged around the Canon SE 45mm f1.9 lens - thus automatically compensating for filters!

Yes you’ve heard it right, the aperture ring is scaled from f16 down to f1.9, and it is too followed by an “auto” setting, so you can select a shutter speed while it automatically adjusts the aperture to get the correct exposure for you. This camera takes brilliant pictures, it’s much more versatile when you can adjust its shutter speed, aperture and ISO according to your shooting conditions. This is also one of the eye-catching handsome guys that you can attract amoi-amoi for a second-third-fourth glance on ̶y̶o̶u̶ your camera~ 😉

This is a good fully automactic compact zoom camera with date imprint, it has autofocus and a fixed programme exposure setting, so it is super easy to use.

Headline feature? Definitely its X2.5 Zoom!🔥 It has a 38-90mm zoom lens. Zoom is speedy compared to Canon Sure shot megazoom105, sensor locking is pretty good too. It is also one of the few to show zoom length on the LCD, a neat feature that is useful for especially the obsessive shooters.

This camera supports both close-up & normal shooting. Mode wise, it can switch between auto, flash on/ off, exposure comp, bulb, and bulb sync. It can also change from normal, consecutive shots, multi exposure, and various timer modes: self-timer/ dual self-timer/ interval timer modes. Interval mode can capture every 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 seconds and every 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60 minutes. So cool, isn’t it? Its self-timer has a delay of 10 seconds while in dual self timer mode, another photo is captured 5 seconds after the first. SOOO many modes that you can play with, in ONE camera (++ with a fairly low price🌝, WORTH)!

In good lighting, the camera can be pretty sharp, exposure was generally good and the flash seemed to judge things well. There’re a lot to like here in this Pentax.
