Well I think it’s safe to say that Christmas arrived with a bang in our November meeting!

Mince pies and mulled wine followed by an amazing tutorial on how to create a perfectly balanced Christmas garland (OCD was out in force trying to get the balloon baubles hanging at the same height! 🙈).

Thank you so much to Nicole for her insider tips and tricks. Still in awe of her skills 😍 And of course we can’t forget the mini Tree of Rejection for all the items that didn’t make it on to the show stopping garland 😂😂😂

In addition to the Christmas display we also gathered up so many donations for Carlow Women’s Aid. Thank you so much to everyone who donated items and time for this. All ready now to be packed up and dropped off!

Thanks everyone for coming along last night and a massive welcome to all newcomers. We hope everyone had a great time.

The Oaks Guild held our very first public event last night with a display of floral artistry by the very talented Margaret Collins from AOIFA - Association of Irish Floral Artists in Carlow.

It was a wonderful evening with genuine excitment over delicate cala lillies and beautiful roses.
