MOBILE SERVICE CENTRE
Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre Kangaroo Paw II will be visiting Yorke Peninsula in the coming weeks, offering locals easy access to Centrelink, Medicare, National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs services.

Kangaroo Paw II will visit:
Ardrossan on Wednesday 24 July adjacent to the town hall, First Street, (9am to 4pm)
Edithburgh on Monday 29 July in front of Edithburgh Institute, Blanche Street (9am to 4pm)
Yorketown on Tuesday 30 July adjacent to Weaners Flat Reserve, Stansbury Road (9am to 4pm)
Minlaton on Wednesday 31 July near the Catholic church, Main Street (9:30am to 4pm)
Maitland on Thursday 1 August adjacent to the town hall, Gardiner Terrace (9am to 3pm)

MEMORY LANE CAFÉ LAUNCH
Memory Lane Café, a collaboration between Dementia Care Advisor Lisa Hendry and SYP Community Hub, is a warm and welcoming informal drop-in style cafe designed for those with dementia, their carers, families, and anyone interested in learning more about local dementia support.
The cafe is free to attend and includes morning tea, guest speakers, opportunities to chat to dementia care advisor Lisa Hendry, as well as connect with other families in a safe and relaxed environment.

Oyster Bay ocean views - Stansbury's accommodation treasure - Greater SA Stansbury Holiday Motel boasts 16 cosy rooms, warm country hospitality and stunning views overlooking Oyster Bay.

Yorke Peninsula Council is proposing a record $16.8million spend on roads for the 2024-25 financial year.
Council’s capital works budget will be primarily used to renew or upgrade assets, with $3m to be dedicated to new assets including beach shelters, walkways, a playground in Maitland and more.
Other works will include stormwater upgrades across multiple townships, flood mitigation at Corny Point, wastewater treatment plant storage upgrades for Maitland township and upgrades to jetty/diving facilities at Edithburgh.
Also included is a budget allocation of $282,000 for repairs to Port Vincent Fisherman’s Jetty supported by $197,000 in funding from the South Australian Government through the South Australian Jetties Renewal Program – Stage 1.
Public consultation for the Annual Business Plan and Budget will remain open until Thursday, 27 June 2024.
