Hi February! We are currently four months into our radio season and we hope you’re liking it so far. Soothing season is back for you, including new additions of Wanderers, Slow Lights and Music for Dreaming.

Pfew, we are still glowing from last Friday! Thank you so much for showing up numerously, and for embarking with us on what turned out to be an amazing night at atelier 210.

It is Monday though, so time to get back to business. 👨‍💼👩‍💼 We have a lot for you in store this week, including many resident shows, and specialties such as Paul Weck’s four hour extravaganza full of guests on Friday. If you pay good attention, you might already hear some material from last Friday as well.

Happy Monday, happy Microwave. This week we'll swap November for December, the month of obligatory festivities and disappointing end of year stretches. Luckily our dear residents and artists who are so kind to submit us a mix never let down, regardless of the monthly circumstances. So buckle up for another week of radio! Also, on Friday we teleport our online station to the real world at atelier210. See you there!

Heading into the colder seasons means tea, supplement-taking and occasional clubbing.

Staying in and listening to our wonderful program is always an option. Expect a lot of different selectors, playlists and cool shows from our residents.

Long time no see! After charging ourselves by seeing lots of you in real life during our summer events, we are ready to crawl back into our online grottos to get the radio up and running again. We are back for a new radio season, with a schedule filled to the brim – ready to cure your end-of-summer sadness. 

From tomorrow our online radio will be fully running again and we are beyond excited. Expect playlists composed for your moods and favourite genres, album sessions, lots and lots and lots of new residents (more on this soon!), familiar faces, and submissions.

will be taking over our stream for the next 5 days. We will be shining our light on some of the Brussels based collectives, dj's and selectors playing at the festival this year.

Up first is rising star, energy bomb and esthetic diva . Over the last two years she's played at every major club in Belgium and far beyond. Recently she was invited by .j to take over her monthly NTS show which resulted in a rapid and energetic mix that we will be streaming for the next 24 hours from 14:00 onwards.

Invited by one of our city's most beloved collectives .brussels , you can catch her on the 14th of July on the Rockamadour stage.

A highlight in our monthly program is the Ghent based Pusjka. For this month's residency he came through with a more relaxed and floaty mix going from spoken word to ambient and experimental stuff.

In the evening we have DJ Rugrat who's been uploading regularly since we started. His dubstep focused mix will get you through a cold night for sure.

We're still recovering from the Arsenaal Open Air but it's about time to get that stream going again.

To kick off our new season, we'll be doing a recap of last year's highlights. And what's better for a Monday than ambient, downtempo and experimental music by some of our residents and early submitters.

When the sun rises next Monday, at 07:35 precisely, a new year of Microwave Radio comes with it.
After a timely break from our very first year of non-stop music, we finally feel ready to pick back up where we left off.
But not quite.

During this summer vacation our Microwave crew discussed and debated heavily on how to progress as a radio.
We see it as a project never to be finished, and are looking for ways to adapt, progress and innovate.
Coming in our second year now, we felt like evolving our daily radio shows.
Steering away from our tried and true 24 hour loop, we will now adapt to the specific hour of day and its different moods.
A monumental step into becoming the radio we want to be.
But before advancing, we would like to take a moment.

Since launching we reached 10.861 listeners, had 7.956 hours of music streamed, divided by 251 artists.
Without all of you, this would have never been possible.
So from the bottom of our hearts, a sincere thank you to everyone.
To celebrate, we prepared a nostalgic deepdive in 1 year of Microwave, condensed in one week, starting Monday the 26th.
