When we started out on this journey our goal was to impact and force the Belton school board and administration to listen to the parents and be held accountable for actions, both by commission and omissions. One of those strategies was to run two candidates for school board and challenge the incumbents and challenge the status quo. Although we did not win this election, our voice has been heard and we can no longer be ignored. I want to thank each of you for your support and efforts both behind the scenes and out in the light. We would not have had the impact we did without each and every one of your help. Competition and accountability are necessary and required to force our board members to act appropriately. This campaign and the work you have done is accomplishing that. Although we came up short this time, the battle is not over and our collective voices are now that much stronger. Keep pushing, keep challenging, and keep holding our elected board members accountable. Our group can no longer be overlooked or ignored. This is the beginning. Let’s go!!

Our 🍎Big Red Community has come together these past few days in many different ways. This early evening citizens, along with Brandon Hall gathered to pray around the grounds and flagpole of Belton High School. This informal time of supportive prayer is for Gods healing over our Belton ISD community, the teachers, staff, students, and families of Belton High School.

Both Dwayne Gossett and Brandon Hall were able to later attend a great PINTS & Politics BELL County networking mixer Thursday evening. Lots of good conversation and discussion flowed around the full tables Deadfish Grill at Belton Lake.

Come join us at Belton High School or pray "where you are" for the staff, students, and community tonight at 5:15 pm. We are meeting outside and can move freely around the building parameters for this informal prayer time.

Everyone in the Belton community is saddened by the news sent out about the incident at BHS. While it is still early and we do not know everything and information changes quickly, know that our prayers go out to all families impacted by this event.

It was a full house tonight at the Central Texas Tea Party gathering with several Bell County Area candidates in attendance.

The School Board Trustee candidates in attendance; Dwayne Gossett & Brandon Hall of Belton ISD and Oliver for KISD Board, were asked a series of questions about schools and governing principals. A very good and engaging conversation on a variety of topics for these candidates.

A big Texas thank you to Central Texas Tea Party for hosting everyone tonight. These gatherings are always fun events with a knowledgeable and lively group willing to discuss local issues at a grassroots level.
