I’ve got some bittersweet news to share. After nearly two years with KAIT, my last day will be May 16th.
I won’t be going far though, as I have accepted a job with KY3 News in Springfield and will cover stories in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri.
While I’m excited for a new opportunity, I’d be remiss if I didn’t say I’m going to miss KAIT. It’s such a special place. My coworkers are some of the most hardworking people I know.
We’re excited for what this next chapter will bring.
I am searching for an EV driver that would be willing to speak to me? Send me a DM if so!

NEW VIDEO: Sharp County Sgt. Bryce Trivitt can be seen grabbing the child from the passenger side window just before the two suspects drive off.
Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell said a child was abducted around 10 am this morning from Mammoth Spring.
Local law enforcement began searching for the vehicle, which was located near Hardy.
A Hardy Police Officer and Sharp County Sheriff’s Deputy approached the vehicle and located the two suspects.
The suspect in the passenger seat was holding the missing child. A sheriff’s deputy grabbed the child out of the vehicle unharmed.
The suspects then drove away to the Ozark Acres area, where Arkansas State Police initiated a PIT maneuver and wrecked the vehicle.
The suspects fled the vehicle. Law enforcement pursued the driver, which was considered "armed and dangerous."
After a 45-minute standoff with law enforcement, Sheriff Russell negotiated with the suspect to unarm himself and turn himself in.
The second suspect is not pursued by law enforcement because they are "not a danger to the public."
No one, suspect or law enforcement, was injured in today's incident.
Some details are still unclear. We expect a press release from the sheriff's office soon.
