KALU IJOMAH UKEH PICKS HIS DEPUTY.

Quality governance is the locomotive oil of a true and good leadership. Quality governance is what is needed to drive and give the people a succour and hope. This involves provision basic social amenities to the people.

Quality governance is the prerequisite backbone of the National Rescue Movement political party, and Kalu Ijomah Ukeh is the pioneer of this movement in Abia state.

To effectively serve well, the Abia state NRM party flagbearer, Kalu Ijomah Ukeh, has successfully chosen his running mate for the gubernatorial seat from the best of best, in the person of Engr. Eze Ireaja, an indigene of Umuene Isiaka of Isiala Ngwa-South.

This dual partnership, just like Achilles and Patroclus of the Greek mythology, are ready to give Abia state all the necessities of good governance, and under their headship, Abia state will benefit greatly.

The theory of needs, as possited by Abraham Maslow, says that everyone should have some basic needs in other for them to actualize their potentials. Maslow stated that a man has to have the right to shelter, food, reproduce; the right to live healthy, get employed, and be secured; the right to intimacy, sense of connection, and friendship; the right to be recognised, freedom, and statues; and the right to self-actualization of one's potentials. This needs, Malsow stated that it is the responsibilities of the leader to provide these needs.

Albeit to say that Abia state, since her creation, has never benefited from these above aforementioned needs, even to the lowest of it all. The past and present leaders of the state has faulted in this. It is on this basis that Abians should support the dual partnership of Kalu Ijomah Ukeh and Engr. Nnamdi Eze Ireaja to become the next Governor and deputy Governor of Abia state.

Support Kalu Ijomah Ukeh and Engr. Nnamdi Ezs Ireaja to man the Abia state's governorship office. Your supports for them is a protest against years of reckless leadership.

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY.

For the love of God for humanity made him to give his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to be crucified and perished for the sins of the world and saved humanity from inescapable destruction.

He showed us the way, He has long been gone. And yet in our hearts His name shines on...
therefore, this is the why humanity should humble before him, who created the heavens and earth, as this is the only way we can actualize our full potentials on earth.

I pray today and always that may the unconditional love of Jesus always remain unchanged for you. Sotherefore, let his death be the reason why we should strive to be a better people.

Happy Easter Friday.

A fore most governorship, Mr. Kalu Ijomah Ukeh, of National Rescue Movement, NRM, Abia State Chapter, on wednesday (April 13th) berated the Ikpeazu-led administration, saying it has no direction in economy, education, industrialization and others.

Mr. Kalu Ijomah Ukeh, stated this while speaking with journalists after picking his Expression of interest and Nomination forms at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, which were handed over to him by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Mohammad Isah.

Meanwhile, Mr Ijomah promised that Abians will be rescued from the present predicament they find themselves.
He also disclosed his four-point agenda to rescue Abia State from the alleged misrule of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which includes Agriculture, Industrialization, Education and Security.

He said: “Abia State does not have a direction in economy, education and everything including human development index there is no direction, even a proud one.

“Now, what I intend to do is this, we are going to look at four cardinal positions and issues which include Agriculture, Industrialization, Education, and Security.
“In agriculture, the main aim is to stabilize food supply in Abia State because most of our traditional meals to make people satisfied is not in food supply and prices are high for the ordinary people.

“We will be looking at agriculture in terms of industrialization. If I become governor, Abia will tilt towards the State of Israel, and we have a fertile land than the State of Israel but Israel is in a desert but we have land far more better than that but they produce far better than any part of the world because they are committed to agriculture.”

Mr. Ijomah also emphasized that there is going to be stability in Abia State through food supply, and he added that various value chains in agriculture can change the narrative of Nigerians, particularly Abians, which he pointed at the cassava value chain, and said ethanol as a by-product can generate foreign exchange far above what Nigeria is earning from crude oil.

He said to industrialize Abia, he will embark on production of commodities that are not found in Nigeria and rest of Africa, like button production and others.

He further stated that if elected he will add value to the lives of young people by making the economy a creative one with innovations that would keep them away from crime and idleness.

“We will also engage the young people with sports to take them off drugs and they will focus their minds on education.
“We will create employment, and we will make it easy for youths to go into agriculture by making it attractive to them, and this will make them go into agriculture, and also we will build industries”,.

On wrestling power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State, he said, “We will put in enough campaign to let the people know what we intend to do for them. We are not going to castigate anybody or run an embittered campaign or trying to run people down." He added.

: I will Boost Abia Economy If Elected Governor —Ijomah Ukeh

Renowned Chemical Scientist, Kalu Ijomah Ukeh, has promised to boost the economy of Abia State if elected as Governor in 2023.

Ijomah Ukeh made the promise on Tuesday in Lagos when he paid a consultative visit to some selected Abia Professionals.

When asked about the economic direction of his administration if elected governor, he said, "Firstly, there is no economic direction in Abia state, even a bad one. We are going into industrialization big time.

"Abia state is far richer than Cross River State when you put alot into consideration. Abia as an oil producing state earns more than them. Our internally generated revenue is far higher than theirs. But, under the Donald Duke era, he started the industrialization drive through Agrobusiness and tourism. He built cassava and pineapple farms in Obubra and Ogoja respectively. He built the Obudu cattle ranch, Tinapa, Marina resort and so many others. Ayade came in 2015 and has set up over 10 industries which include: Chicken cottage, Calavargas, Toothpick factory, Rice mill factory and others.

"China is what it is today because they embraced manufacturering. So it's a shame we can not manufacture glass in Africa while the raw materials are abundant in Abia state.

"Our drive is going to be industrialization using our youth population. When you engage the youths economically, the state would be safe for investors. My administration will set create wealth through manufacturing across the councils, thereby, ending rural- urban migration. Manufacturing in all sectors as exemplified by Dee Sam Mbakwe.

" If you talk about the things that are needed in the production of detergents and it's related products, like toothpaste, mouthwash e.t.c [linear alkylbenzene], there are very much available in Nigeria. All we need to do is get a sulphunating machine after sulphoration you have what is known as linear alkylbenzene sulphate which is a major raw material for a lot of chemical end production. But for some strange reasons nobody is looking at this direction. There are more ten other products that are not produced anywhere in Africa but we can conveniently produce in Abia state. We can meet the market demand of Nigeria if produce these products in Abia state. Even some of the well produced goods in Abia state are poorly packaged. These are areas one intends to improve on.

"I will invest heavily in Agriculture, Education and Health . We shall stabilise food supply in the State. In Agriculture, we shall introduce improved seedlings. Farm products shall be used as raw materials for agroindustries. If we produced tomatoes, why do we import ketchup when is only salt and few other additives and packaging we need to produce ketchup. Yet Nigeria does not produce ketchup. We import from South Africa. We shall engage in production of goods and value addition to generate more revenue and employment for our people," he said.

: I WILL MAKE AGRICULTURE ATTRACTIVE TO YOUNG ABIANS, SAYS KALU IJOMAH UKEH.

The Abia state born chemical scientist and governorship aspirant, Mr. Kalu Ijomah Ukeh has vowed to tackle unemployment in the state, through agriculture and manufacturing, if elected as the next governor of the state.

According to Mr. Ukeh, his administration will invest heavily in manufacturing and agriculture, thereby engaging thousands of Abia youths.

Ukeh, stated this in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, Sunday morning, noting that Agriculture can solve the issue of unemployment when made attractive to young people.

He said, "Given that the Nigeria’s exports are dominated by crude oil, Nigeria’s agricultural sector provides an estimated 65% of jobs across the nation – a dynamic that is mirrored in many of the states, and Abia is no exception. Agriculture is currently the main contributor to Abia State’s economy, comprising 27% of Gross Demostic Product (GDP) and directly or indirectly employing as much as 70% of the workforce. Representing 27% of the GDP, agriculture- which employs 70%of the state workforce- is the second economic sector of Abia. With its adequate seasonal rainfall, Abia has much arable land that produces yams, maize, potatoes, rice, cashews, plantains, taro, and cassava. Oil palm is the most important cash crop.

"The agricultural sector is therefore going to be one of the key priorities of our administration. The sector offers opportunities in a variety of segments, ranging from husbandry and fisheries to cash crops and downstream processing, but realising its potential will require significant investment to restructure and modernise the industry.

"We shall engage capable hands, fund and implement research works that are wasting in our research institutes, and implement them.

"We shall make Agriculture attractive to our youths and women. If they can monitor development in their farm and on their laptops, it will make them feel modern. If young beautiful and attractive girls can be in agriculture and still remain attractive many young people will gladly go into farming."

This was coming as Mr. Ukeh had officially joined the governorship contest.

Mr. Kalu Ijomah remains resolute and committed to rescue the state from years of mismanagement of the agricultural and manufacturing sectors of the state.

2023 Abia Guber: My Reputation Is My Selling Point - Ijomah Ukeh

A governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Mr. Kalu Ijomah Ukeh has said that his reputation is his selling point ahead of the 2023 governorship election.

The Chemical Scientist stated this in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, noting that only a proven character is capable of transforming the state.

He said; "My selling point is my personality as Kalu Ijomah Ukeh. A seasoned technocrat and an industrialist. I am a result-oriented leader with a proven track record that can help transform our dear state.

"Abians are desperate to see someone with a fresh idea; someone who is not a 'professional politician', someone that's independent minded. That's exactly where I fit in.

"I am coming from a different background of Abia politics. I have never been appointed an aide or senior adviser to anybody. Therefore, I am not indebted to anybody or 'godfather'.

"Secondly, as someone who started my own company from the scratch to international level, Abia state should expect an explosion in manufacturing activities," he said.

THE MAN CALLED KALU IJOMAH UKEH PT. 1: The Lofty Task Of Leadership

Defining reality is a huge part of leadership. Every citizen would want to follow a leader who is honest about the current situation they face as a people with a purpose to offer lotions to them.

Leadership is the potential to influence the behaviour of others. It is also the capacity to influence a group of persons towards the realization of a goal by being involved in shaping and moulding the behaviour of the group towards the accomplishment of the set goals.

Max DePree makes it seem simple when he argued: “The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.”

A leader should be optimistic but still realistic. If a state is nearing economic comatose, you want a leader who understands the gravity of the situation—but not one who is frozen by that reality. You want someone who can navigate through the storm and lead everyone to the best possible outcome, yet remain conscious that he represents the interest of the people who will end up saying "thank you", in-between.

THE ABIA QUESTION OF LEADERSHIP

The problem responsible for the total abysmal failure in Abia state is not that Abia does not have the leaders to make some decisions, but she lacks leaders who understand or knows the basic leadership approach needed at a particular instance to pioneer the affairs of the state to meet the expectations of the average electorate.

Much as the argument for a better Abia may have persisted, the good news remains that there are still men with the political will to change the narrative, this is where leaders like the Abia born chemical scientist, Mr Kalu Ijomah Ukeh comes in as one, amongst that rare clause in the state, that is a highly rational and contingent leader with the wherewithal to give answers to the Abia question of leadership in a holistic manner. His leadership quality is the type that, when found in one man, is nearly impossible to be found in another.

However, the very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision because a visionless leader is like letting a blind man lead those whose sights are intact. The foremost objective is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better, that is the philosophy that stands Kalu Ijomah Ukeh out from the rest, his capacity to translate vision into reality.

Another responsibility of a leader is to define reality. A leader who fails to translate his or her vision into reality is like one who embarks on a speculative journey. Ironically, Abia state lacks leaders with foresight.

Mr Kalu Ijomah Ukeh is a visionary leader who sees through the vicissitudes of time to make life-changing interventions that will increase the state's human, materials and economic resources.
He is also a highly innovative leader. His innovations in the chemical industries have been life-saving interventions to Nigerians and people outside Nigeria.

John Quincy Adams, an American statesman, diplomat, lawyer who served as the sixth president of the United States, from 1825 to 1829 has this to say:
_“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."_

Mr Kalu Ijomah Ukeh is like a shining light that influences darkness to change to light when they come in contact with each other because he influences all persons within him to have a bigger dream, to learn more, do more and becomes even greater than himself. Suffice this to say that the present condition of Abia state needs a transformational leader with the political will to lead, serve and motivate.

Your support for Kalu Ijomah Ukeh is your protest for the disapproval of poor management of Abia state as lack of a good leader; it is your approval to support the progress of the state, prosperity and unperturbed dividends of democracy as he symbolizes true support against imperialism in Abia state. It is a support for a breath of fresh air in Abia state.

Support Kalu Ijomah Ukeh for governor of Abia State come 2023.

To be continued...

Best of regards.

Comrade Owen Idikachukwu, for Ijeoma Abia foundation.
