Strap in because I am about to get emotional!
Those of you that know me know that I have always had a huge love for papercrafting, I find beauty in turning paper into something wonderful! Something you may not know is my family is also crafty! I have the pleasure to get to go on scrapbooking retreats with my Aunt, which is so special! My mom always was sewing and crafting when I was growing up and my grandmother made BEAUTIFUL things out of fabric. That woman could pretty much do anything. My father used to paint ceramics and he was damn good at it. My grandfather on my mothers side is extremely crafty and makes handmade cards for people. Let's just say, I GOT LUCKY!
I have never entered my own work into anything before, so I was super nervous this year when I entered my scrapbook. BUT.... I am so glad I did and couldn't be more blessed to see how I did. The lady told me it was one of the best she had seen come through the fair and it was why it was grand champion. I am shocked and amazed and just so grateful to the judges for seeing the beauty in papercrafting that I have my whole life!

Passion through Creativity
Crafting has always been a passion of mine. I grew up watching my grandmother sew, my dad paint, and my aunt scrapbook. My mother did quite a bit of crafting as well, so I had a lot of influencers. When I was little, I attempted to do all the things they did, even if I wasn't "great" at it. It wasn't until I got to college where I "thrived." I found love in the little things. Creating things that were not only for myself but for those I loved, made everything worth while. I started by making simple scrapbook pages and albums, then worked my way up to making customized books and frames. Once I started learning more I found a group of scrappers that my aunt was part of, and fell in love all over again! These ladies taught me more about the world of crafting then I could have ever imagined. I found passion for all types of paper crafting, even some I didn't even know existed. I think it is safe to say crafting has saved my soul and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me!
