Helping Hands for Ukraine

Parcels containing military uniforms were delivered to Ukraine and subsequently transferred to their intended recipients: the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, Konovalets Sergeant School, 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, and 95th Air Assault Brigade.

Interim Report: In July, Helping Hands for Ukraine sent 35 sets of military uniforms to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade; 25 uniform sets, part of which is for the Konovalets Sergeant School.
Total expenditures amounted to $7813.55, including shipping to Kyiv. A detailed report with photographs will be published later upon receipt confirmation in Ukraine.

The fundraising lottery for this limited edition AZOV block of stamps is coming up soon!

On May 23, 2024, Ukrposhta presented postage stamps "Azov. 10 years. The free choose the fight”, released as part of the "Own Brand" project. The design was developed by the 12th special purpose brigade "Azov" of National Guard of Ukraine.

The issue is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the "Azov" brigade and has a special significance. The limited edition of the postal set is 900 copies. In this way, the national mail draws attention to the number of fighters of the brigade, who have been in enemy captivity for more than two years.

The issue of stamps and envelopes was accompanied by a special ceremony, in which the legendary "Azovian" Lt. Col. Svyatoslav Palamar "Kalyna", as well as Junior Lieutenant Petro Sadov'yak "Groser" and Major Vitaly Murdza "Murzik" took part. It is symbolic that the redemption of stamps with soldiers of the 12th special purpose brigade "Azov" of NGU took place on May 23 - on the Day of Heroes of Ukraine.
- I am sure that this stamp will remind all of us Ukrainians of the heroic struggle, of the heroic act of our servicemen, of what the Defense Forces do for our country. I want this brand to be a symbol of the defense of our boys and girls. For it to remind us of the difficult trials we had to face during these 10 years. We stood, stand and will stand in defense of the Ukrainian state, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, - commented Sviatoslav Palamar "Kalyna", lieutenant colonel of the 12th special purpose brigade "Azov" of NGU.

Release of the stamp "Azov. 10 years. "Free people choose to fight" aims not only to mark the 10th anniversary of the creation of "Azov", but also to draw public attention to the heroism and dedication of the fighters who liberated Mariupol from pro-Russian separatists in 2014, and defended it for 86 days during a full-scale invasion in 2022 city ​​and restrained the enemy's advance. On May 20, 2022, the last defender of "Azovstal" surrendered by order. At least 900 Azov citizens and hundreds of fighters are still in captivity.
During the 10 years of its existence, "Azov" was transformed from a "pack" of desperadoes to personnel troops, remaining the only brigade consisting exclusively of volunteers. From the first days of its existence, from the "little black-uniformed men" to the battalion, a separate special purpose unit and now the brigade, the unit accepts only motivated people who voluntarily decided to defend their country.

THANK YOU!!! to the "Light of Peace" and "Children's Hearts" children's church choirs! 🙏

During last Christmas season, a group of our youngest volunteers from these children's church choirs in Detroit led by Andriy Dutka came together to sing carols and bring christmas joy, for which they collected $1300!
The kids collectively decided they would gift the full sum to our organization, rather than spending it on toys and sweets. We, in turn, used this money to buy the soldiers of Ukraine new winter uniforms and warm clothes.
Those men and women from AZOV and The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade are currently serving in the newly created training and assault regiment. This regiment is engaged in military training of those mobilized according to NATO standards. After training, instructors participate in battles together with recruits, and then go back to base to teach a new round of recruits. They have camp set up in the woods, and it is imperative to stay warm and dry to continue protecting the country.
