🐶 Our neighbors at Organic Greens informed us that today is “”Kuya Tihar” a day that the Nepalese celebrate & honor dogs—it just so happens that Hunter marks the shop for the first time 🙃

+ we restocked today!! Ready for y’all tomorrow & Saturday as we celebrate Day of the Dead 🙏🏼

Araw ng mga Patay / Día de los Mu***os / Day of the Dead is a day that we honor & remember those who have transitioned and have left this physical world.

This year, with many new changes, we’ve decided to create a new tradition—one that honors our families’ & ancestors’ spirits, one that connects us via nature, one that is representative of death as the beginning of new life.

This Friday (Nov. 1) & Saturday (Nov. 2), we invite you to take a seed (a cutting from our living wall) in honor of your loved ones—in remembrance of their spirit & its connection to yours. When you see this cutting grow roots & see the plant that it will one day become, we hope you remember the love & intention that you came with to collect this seed.

We hope that this tradition reminds you that we’re all connected through nature, energy, & spirit—we are one. 🌱

3 years old. 3 years of experiences, lessons, moments of discovery, times of doubt, growth, & healing.

Opening Pamana Plantas started off with honoring my Tito Enchit, my family & their resilience. I wanted to bridge that to the resilience of plants/nature & share this message to remind others that they too are resilient.

Over the past 3 years, Pamana Plantas has grown to stand for & embody not only resilience, but healing, growth, connection, alignment & faith for me.

I knew that opening this shop had more to it than just selling plants. I knew the purpose was deeper, but I didn’t know that it would be so transformative for me personally.

It’s pushed me to love & accept myself as is, unconditionally. It’s helped me gain confidence by bringing me opportunities to DO things that I wouldn’t have the opportunity to do otherwise.

It’s directed me to tend to myself first. Up to this year, I always thought that if I love & honor you, I love & honor myself, but life has taught me differently–to love & honor myself is to love & honor you.

It’s brought me to realize that it’s ok to ask for help for we heal in community. It’s led me to start therapy, hire a business coach, & build a tribe with those who align with my vision & values.

It’s proven to me that in this capitalistic system, even living things can become commodified & taken for granted & that is what we want to move away from.

So Pamana Plantas & I are going through a transitional period. I’m refining & realigning what it is that I want to share-the messaging, the purpose-while also taking care of & honoring myself.

But for now, I’ll share: Pamana Plantas exists to remind us that as living beings, we’re all connected. It’s to promote the importance of living life in tune with life’s natural rhythm. It’s to bring us closer to our intuition, to learn the language of energy through connecting with nature. This is why we’re here & choose to continue to learning, realigning, & growing.

So thank you for supporting us. For thinking of us & sharing us with your friends & loved ones. Y’all have helped us make it to 3 years of growth in business & on my own journey.

Hunter has a sticker!!!! 😆🌿🫶🏼

To those of you who met Hunter when he first started coming to the shop with me (~2 years ago), you knew he was SO anxious & hesitant of customers coming in. It’s safe to say that he’s grown a lot. Just as he’s grown, healed, made mistakes, & learned, so have we. This sticker is a little reminder of his & our growth 🌱

He’s our mascot, our greeter, my sidekick, hiking buddy, passenger princess & favorite coworker. The one who loves constant pets, giving kisses, & does the goofiest dog things—I love him & I know a lot of y’all do too 😆🙌🏼

My heart is so full after today’s Mother’s Day kamayan high tea experience for various reasons 🫶🏼🌿✨🌸🫖

🌿 It was definitely the little me inside me who had her tea party dreams come true today 🥹

🌿 I’m so happy and grateful to those who believed in my vision and supported it—from the ones who dined with us, the vendors & those who took part in setting up—THANK YOU 🙌🏼🤍🙏🏼

🌿 I’m so happy that I got to support my fellow & local small businesses in honor of

🌿We’re having a kamayan* style high tea experience featuring my favorite treats from local womxn-owned small businesses and your favorite mug! Our table will be feature delicious pastries on specially made cake stands made by , adorned with flowers thanks to , candles—and of course, plants—featuring an array of different flavors, colors, and textures! 🤩

🌿What is “kamayan style”?
“Kamay” is “Hand” in Tagalog and the term “kamayan” is a Filipino style of eating—communally. Typically, a kamayan feast features banana leaves spread out covering the entire table and is a natural substitute for plates. Mounds of white rice, a variety of dishes, sides, sauces, and vegetables are laid out on to the banana leaf spread. Kamayans are designed for us to share and be with others in community.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to teach a kokedama class at Google HQ!

It’s always such a fun time showing y’all how to create this cute little plant art piece, hearing how much fun y’all had making it, & seeing everyone get creative with nature 🥰🌱

We’re hosting another one at the shop this Saturday & mom will be there to show y’all the secrets of the special way she makes each kokedama you see at the shop.
