Announcing our fantastic lineup for tomorrow night!

Alisha Richard began living authentically as a woman in 2023. After writing for decades, her transition inspired a venture into poetry and spoken word performance as a means to share her journey. Her work strives to break down barriers and stigma while showing others the joy of living one's truth.

Kevin G. Manley has been telling stories since he was five years old and got caught using his dad’s razor. Only now he tells true stories - live, unfiltered, and uncut. He is also the open reading coordinator for the San Diego Shakespeare Society, an occasional performer, and sometimes tells stories through film.

Mike James is an advocate for social justice who has been living, working and performing in San Diego for many years. He's a songwriter in the folk music story telling tradition, and has performed all over the west coast from Seattle to Austin.

Kirk Faulkner is a writer, comic and story teller. He has been telling stories in shows that David produces for the last 7 years and loves doing it! He has a dog named Kasha who loves to attend story telling events too.

J. StarLitWriter is an author and poet who's published in 55+ books. But her real claim to fame is that her triumphs and failures have been broadcast widely on TV and in theaters across North America. The story she's telling was adapted into an award-winning short film. J. is cohost/coproducer of the monthly True Stories Wanted, and she's in a spicy show in Feb.

Nancy Alvarado began an illustrious writing career at age 4, when she scratched the word “house” into the wall of her parents’ freshly painted house. Her more recent work has been met with less dismay. Nancy is an elementary school teacher, which provides her a captive audience for storytelling and dumb dad jokes when she’s not fielding questions about whether Uranus is a gas giant.
