Mighty May
Meet May! This is her story! The tiniest little girl with a heart the size of a lion. Born with a hair lip but with the strongest will to live.
Recently diagnosed with scoliosis this girls battle has just begun
It’s meant to get easier! Well it’s still just as painful as the day I lost you my gorgeous girl. Many quiet tears are still shed. My heart is still broken but I don’t regret one day spent with you my little Angel. You taught me so much and I will always be grateful for your unconditional love and endless kisses and cuddles. I know you are still here and every time a feather miraculously appears I know you are watching me. You loved your special feather and played with it endlessly, now you are giving them to me. I gather them up and add them to your collection - they always make me smile as did you every second of every day in your very short life.
Finally put May’s photo up, complete with her favourite toy - a chicken feather that she adored.
Still hurts to look at her for too long.
I try to remember the good times but the pain of losing her is still too big - hopefully that will get easier as time goes by.
My beautiful May ❤️❤️
This photo was taken the morning she left us and I adore it.
With the heaviest of hearts we said goodbye to May this morning. This little girl had a short but sweet life. Everyone that met her fell in love with her. She had such strength and was the bravest little dog I’ve ever met. She sadly deteriorated rapidly over the last few days and was clearly uncomfortable and in pain. She gave me the look this morning and I followed her wishes.
My heart is shattered!!!!!
Thanks so much to Alice, Amy and Jacqui at the Aldgate Veterinary Practice for their care and compassion

UPDATE - May had her follow up specialist appointment today. Sadly there is no magical prognosis for this special little soul. The instructions are to love and enjoy her for as long as she is pain free and until her quality of life starts to fade. She is one special little lady that has stolen every heart that she meets. She is cheeky, tenacious and the sweetest soul and to say that we adore her is an understatement. I hope she proves the experts wrong!
