Let’s talk Carbs & Calories 😛

Okay so I hear sooooo many people say “I’ve cut out carbs, and I’ve lost weight😁”

Hmmm really 🤔
🔑 Fat Loss comes down to the amount of calories your eating, so if your gaining weight you are therefore eating to many calories which your body needs.

The method of creating a Calorie Deficit differs.
Whether it be Keto, low fat, low carb etc..
I personally don’t do any off these, I love and eat all foods cause, well.... I love bread, and I love chocolate 💁🏽‍♀️
but just because the people following one off those ^ has cut a certain something out, that doesn’t mean that’s the reason they’ve lost weight,
The simple reason they’ve lost it, is because they’ve cut food out - food containing calories - therefore creating a deficit 😉

People who keep things they love in there diet like “Bread” are actually more likely to stick to it. And there’s no scientific evidence that a “low carb” diet is better for you against any other diet when calories are matched ☺️

🔑 Fat loss takes time,
Don’t search for quick fixes, shakes, skinny teas, the cabbage diet ( trust me I’ve heard it before )
🤣😭

🔑 Follow a diet YOU enjoy, something that’s sustainable and allows you to be flexible enough to enjoy your life💁🏽‍♀️

🔑 Be realistic!
if you starve yourself, yes your gonna loose weight,
But you want to no what else comes with that?
increased risk for Abnormally low blood pressure and slow heart rate. Heart rhythm abnormalities, hair loss, Irregular menstrual cycles or Amenorrhea in some women. Plus much more 💡

🔑 Move a little more 💃🏽 find something you enjoy which gets you moving, this alone can give you results 🙏

And last but not least.....
If your a bread lover like meeeee🙋🏽‍♀️🥯
You don’t have to cut it out, infact if you cut it out your more likely to binge on it In the weeks to come. Keep it into your diet, and REMEMBER it’s your calorie intake you need to look at for fat loss. Not Bread 😉

In the next few weeks I'll be opening my diary (hopefully!) with being able to start and PT again on the 12TH April 💪🏽🙌🏽

I don't want to book anyone in just yet, as anything can happen, and I don't want to have to cancel you all 🥺

But I have a good feeling THIS IS THE ONE!

Who's excited?
Who's feeling nervous?
Who wants to feel strong?
Who wants to improve their mental health? 🏋️‍♂️🤸🏽‍♀️

I'll be making sure everything is in place, making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable just like before all the same rules will apply🌟

I've been debating whether to go forward with being able to PT outside in a public space, 1-1, and social distanced. The rules are changing everyday, the weather is abit pants and with me being pregnant I need to be careful, and making sure I'm keeping myself and my family safe 🙂

But I've decided to open some spaces for my 1-1 PTs outside 🏋️‍♀️
I love what I do, and I've had to take a step back from it all with the gyms closing every couple of weeks... open closed open closed 🙄🙄 but during these crazy times, if it's making people feel better in themselves, getting people out of the house and having time to themselves to unwind -
I feel like Im doing something to help, which makes me feel happier 💆🏼‍♀️🥰

Exercise is the most single powerful tool to changing your whole day, and taking care of the mind is equally as important as taking care of your body.

I'll only be opening a few slots, and I'll be keeping these sessions to around 45 minutes long, and if anyone wants help with nutrition along the way that's something I can also help with 🍎🍌🥦
If the gyms re open in this time, we can locate back to the gyms 🤞💪🏽

Obviously we won't have the range off equipment outside we normally get, but who says you need equipment?🙋🏽‍♀️

All current rules will be followed which I have checked over on the Gov a website ✔️

This week was meant to be the week I started back up in a New Year (after only just re opening) 🥺🤷🏽‍♀️

Absolutely gutted I can’t get to see all my clients at the gym and work with them.
Not only is it for their goals and making them feel better in themselves, it’s for their mental health which is so important 🌎

I don’t no when we will be aloud to re-open🥺
But I do no..when we are....

We will keep coming back 💪🏽

Get out on walks in the fresh air 💫

Do things YOU enjoy 💫

Talk to friends 💫

Just want to say a massive thank you to all my lovely clients who have supported me this year, it’s been a tough one with a lot of set backs, but hopefully it can only get better💪🏽


I’ve been so quiet on social media just taking some time out and dealing with myself and bump 🤰 it was needed and I’m so glad I’ve taken that time. BUT I am back in full swing, and my diary is open for the NEW YEAR!
I will only have limited slots, I’ll be cutting my numbers down slightly. This is just something I have decided to put in place to make sure im keeping myself and my baby safe at all times during this crazy time😇

An important reminder that YOUR WEIGHT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU.

Why do we stress about what the scales say?

If scales weren't around, how many off us would be happier not knowing the number?

From when I competed last year, to now, I haven't weighed myself which is well over a year, and I can tell you now I am so much happier.

There are so many reasons why the scale fail you...

- you weigh yourself at different times off the day.

- you'll weigh yourself with clothes on one day, the next without.

- you don't factor your training / muscle building.

- your not getting enough sleep.

- HORMONES 🤪 these play a huge part.

- you have drank lots off water and jumped on the scales.

NON SCALE POSITIVES

Improved endurance

Clothes fit better

Feel healthier

Less cravings

Developing good habits

Positive mindset

Throw them scales away ☺️🙌🏽

Your progress is only determined by your ability to get out of bed and do the best you possibly can for yourself. Whether that's exercising, eating healthy, enjoying a day to yourself, taking a walk.

6 WEEK LOCKDOWN TRANSFORMATION 👊🏽

So excited to share with you my brothers transformation over lockdown!

In a bad cycle of unhealthy eating and not watching the amount he was eating, Mitch decided he wanted to feel better in himself and feel more confident.
With my wedding in 6 months time, he had a goal.. and the goal was fit into his suit ready to be best man ☺️

With no gyms open at the time (which he was relieved about 😂) we got stuck in with the nutrition, nailed the basics, kept consistent each day and was aloud added treats through out to keep him on track.

I always feel if you take everything away from a client, they will hate the process.. and give up before they’ve even started and go back to the beginning❗️
Or binge eat the stuff they haven’t been “aloud” ❗️

Each week we would check in and see how well he was doing,
Go over the things he was struggling with and the things he enjoyed.
Again Something I always do with my clients.. keep in contact! Make sure there on the right path and moving forward not backwards 👊🏽

I think this has to be one off my favourite transformations, because with being related..
I knew his downfalls, I knew he didn’t eat healthy meals, I new he didn’t enjoy the thought off doing anything like this..
And honeslty I didn’t think he would finish it 😮

But he proved me wrong!!!!!

He stuck to his calorie goals every week💪🏽

He added in healthy meals🥦

He cut down on his snacking ❌

And he made healthier CHOICES!

And well .... the proof is there!!

Just over 1 STONE. 3 POUNDS gone!!💥💥💥💥

And to make it even better, we ordered 2 sizes DOWN in his suit trousers for the wedding, they come on Sunday.... and they fit him PERFECT!! ☺️

A huge well done, I am very proud.
This is hopefully the beginning to a healthier lifestyle and to feeling his absolute best ☺️

To think I never felt “ready” here, I remember waking up on the day off my competition thinking oh my god, I can’t do this 😨😨😨.....

Then i walked away with 3 gold medals winning all my category’s!!!

Moral of the story -

Never underestimate the power of simply just turning up and getting s**t done👊🏽

Keep doing it, keep turning up, keep it simple.
And your already a winner 🏆
