Kitchen is the heart of the house. Every aspect of kitchen layout should be customized to suite the user. Are you left handed? Do two people cook at the same time? Do you entertain a lot? Do you want to face people when cooking or face the wall when cooking? These things might not seem important but are very critical for every day use.

Lights, camera, action. So satisfying to see a project come to completion.

Basement should not look like a basement. Natural light to the basement defines the experience and not the expectation.

Which option do you like? This is how we present different configurations of the same space. This helps the clients really understand how the space will actually look. I always want to focus on every corner of the house including the small corridors.

One can play with different heights, textures and colors to create a space that can really be inviting yet sophisticated.
Love using .reclaimed.woods products in our projects. You can use wood in different configurations and create a theme that suits you the best.

Retreat? Spa? Master bath? How do we define these spaces as separate rather than integrated? I always want to play with spaces with an open mind and no restriction to what the use has been predefined. Flanking a tub with sinks on both sides, shower on one side and opening this space up to the master bedroom on the other side let’s the user enjoy the experience from different dimensions.

Perspective. Sometimes it is good to just take in everything around you and not question anything that is thrown your way. Life is like a rain drop, looks pretty when falling from the sky but you just never know what and how it will react once it hits the ground.
Living in the moment and not in the past, that is how I like to live my life. May Allah guide me to live like this for the rest of my life.

The design of a structure can transfer one to any place in time. This structure can be in USA, Asia or any part of the world. Buildings speak to us and make us relate to them in amazing ways.

Vintage, reclaimed, sustainable kitchen with recycled material brings a sense of peace and calm in the space.
Mixing materials like steel, wood and stone might sound cold but are part of the warm family of design.

Simple lines, play with light and shadow and keep forms balanced. That is the art of design. Sometimes less is more.
If your house is on a corner lot and have a lot of traffic on the street you might want to create some privacy but also make the facade exciting.

Traveling is one of the best way to get inspired, get new ideas, connect with other cultures and learn the art of design. Whenever I travel I want to go to the small local shops, talk to the local artists and find the hidden art that makes that place special.
I really cannot wait to start traveling and exploring again.

Light wells make a huge difference in a basement, and how you detail them is very important. We used reclaimed stone and refurbished wrought iron rail, along with refurbished light fixtures to give this light well the feel of a an old timeless space.
If you have a concrete light well in your house you can dress it up by adding plants, art, pots etc.

Lines make the space connect in different ways. We can curve a line and create a space that seems to flow endlessly since it is all looped together or do a straight line and create depth.

Wood details, if done authentically, can create a space that can take you anywhere in the world without leaving your home. Our Japanese inspiration coming to life.

2014 was so much fun. Doing these obstacle runs with my nieces and nephews is something that I will cherish for life. Time spent with young minds help you connect with them and also help you grow with knowledge of what the young generation is thinking about. Doing something like this as a group really helps you bond and connect and create memorable experiences. I know sometimes it is difficult to get out of your comfort zone, but it is important to always keep your mind open to learning things from people of different ages. This helps open our minds and help us be more creative.
For me it is important to expand my mind if I want to think out of the box and design without constraint.

Curves create soft and inviting spaces and help with the flow and balance of light within a volume.
When I work on stairs I want the stairs to be part of the whole experience. This basement does not feel like a basement because of the high volume and natural light coming from the skylight above.

Repurposing things in a useful way, while creating memorable spaces, is what makes my day to day work so amazing.
If you want to just play with spaces in your home, find things that you might not use but think of how you can use them in other fun ways.
I used this pot to create a sink and we recycled an old wardrobe frame to create this unique door.
Can you think of things you can redo in your own space? I will be interested to get some ideas that I can use.

Master bathrooms, the subtle retreat, hidden sanctuary in a house full of activities.
Finding a standing tub might look cool and easy but it is not so simple. Most of the standing tubs are not functional nor practical to use. We need to guide clients to really select the right tub that works for them. Just elevating the tub slightly makes a huge difference in the space and gives a sense of separation.
Try using simple change of texture, elevation or color to enhance the spaces you want to update.

4 years ago this summer. What a fun and carefree trip this was. I honestly cannot wait to travel to Europe again. These were the carefree days with family and no worries.
Take time to look back at your favorite vacations, be grateful for the travels you did when you did them. Be grateful for the health and freedom that we are still blessed with and be positive every day for things we have. Life is short but is beautiful and no matter what life throws at us keep in mind someone else always have it much tougher.

this was a memorable trip. Let’s do it again when we can.

Stone facades gives a house sophistication and elegance that helps create a subtle presence. People sometimes think stone facades are heavy but I find them soothing and relaxing. I always feel that stone walls have centuries of secretes waiting to be told or maybe heard 😊

Ultimate California living. The best form of indoor/outdoor connection when it is a seamless flow.

Satisfaction is seeing my project coming to the finish line. When inspiration and hope converts from paper to reality, that feeling is not an easy feeling to describe. Looking forward to our amazing clients enjoy this home for years to come. None of my creations are good if they are not lived in and enjoyed.
May this house bring joy, happiness, health and contentment to its occupants.

6 years ago, first time solo street ride. Cannot wait for the girls to join us soon but I always tell everyone, safety first before you decide to hit the road.
In life opportunities present themselves but which ones we want to grab and which ones we want to let go is in our hands. Thanks to for always encouraging me and standing by my side in these crazy adventures.

The perfect escape, the internal courtyard with its own deck from the master bedroom.

Powder room, the statement.
Keeping things minimalistic along with clean lines is the art of balance.

Texture, color palette, material integrity, all are essential to create an impact on user experience.
Don’t you think kitchens should be treated as furniture pieces rather than cabinets in a house? I like to consider the kitchen island more like a sculpture piece, something to enjoy and appreciate and still be functional.

One good thing about lock down was we got to spend more time with family doing things which were healthy for mind and soul.
When you get time to spend with family do so. Time is precious and we all don’t have much of it. Let’s enjoy every minute of it. Some times I miss the lock down🤣🤣
