As we all know the Cape Flats is rife with unemployment. With approximately 70% unemployment drug and alcohol abuse becomes the order of the day. The youth turns to gangsterism. We are faced with a socio economic dilemma.

Over the last few weeks we have been asked numerous times why is there no opportunities for experienced unemployed middle aged individuals 30+ without Matric.

We have been posting job opportunities and yes all requires Matric as entry level qualification. Most if not all of these individuals are PDI who left school due to socio economic conditions. I bet if anyone is interviewed they would tell you of their dream job the goals and aspirations they had and why they did not complete Matric.

The question to the employers out there:
You have a social responsibility in assisting the communities you serve.
How can we assist our people and improve their lives?

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

CMAD Foundation presents Strandfontein Informal Settlement Madressah.

The Madressah is situated in Oppermans Oord Strandfontein and run by Mualim Moegamat Nur and Mualimah Ruwayda. The Madressah has over 20 children from 7de Laan, Oppermans Oord and Mascindane. The majority of these students are Non Muslim.

The Madressah has a community garden and grows vegetables to feed the community. The Madressah would like to expand its current structure and Establish a Salaah Ghana. This community have not had the honor of hearing the Athaan since its existence for well over 30 years and the closest Mosque is 5km away.

Please join CMAD Foundation in presenting a children's day on 11th April 2020. The Madressah will be performing various items for our entertainment.

We humbly invite all Ulama to attend and show support for the effort made by these students.
