Who we work with:
The Ruxley Foundation works with other organisations to support people and promote our charitable purpose. We depend on referrals from trusted local institutions to reach the right people with our grant making.
Our primary focus is helping children and young people. Many of our referrals come from schools with an intake from the Ruxley area. We have funded SEND school trips, alternate provision facilities and provided grant support for voluntary contributions that make some school activities possible.
We have also provided funding for the Epsom & Ewell food bank and are in contact with the East Surrey Poverty Truth Commission.

What would you do if you received a call from someone asking you to withdraw and hand over cash to a courier? Would your answer be any different if the caller said they were a police officer, a detective or from your bank? What if they gave you a crime reference number and asked you to call back on a number they provide? π€
Fraudstersβ clever tactics mean anyone can fall victim to this type of fraud. They tend to impersonate your bank or the police and ask for your help with an investigation, by withdrawing money and giving it to a courier they send so they can βcheckβ itβs real or look for fingerprints. They can call from what looks like a genuine number and will keep your landline open so that when you try phoning someone to check the call is real, youβre actually speaking to the same criminals.
Our top tips to protect yourself from courier fraud are:
β’ Act with care if you receive an unexpected call
β’ Never give cash or your bank card to a courier or police officer
β’ Always check your phone line has properly disconnected before making another call β try calling a good friend first, wait five minutes or use a different phone
β’ Never share your PIN number or enter your PIN into a telephone
β’ Never transfer funds into an account on the instruction of an unexpected caller, even if they tell you the account is in your name
Please share this information so that we can help protect people from this despicable crime.

The local community needs your help.
The effect of Coronavirus means that many people are unable to go shopping for food. Many others are finding it much harder to access food, or are struggling to feed themselves because of the economic impact of Covid19.
The Ruxley Foundation is helping.
We are supplying wholesale deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables to the Epsom & Ewell Food Bank, to the local Community Hub and helping elderly and vulnerable people access food deliveries.

About us
The Ruxley Foundation was founded in April 2018. The organisationβs purpose is to benefit residents in the district ward of Ruxley in the borough of Epsom and Ewell.
Surrey is the wealthiest county in the UK yet there are pockets of poverty and deprivation that are significantly worse than the national average. The Ruxley Foundation aims to improve the quality of life, social inclusion and social mobility of residents in the geographic area of Ruxley ward where there is a significant gap between the wealthiest and the least fortunate. It has been shown that wealth disparity impacts life chances and can deepen social injustice, we believe people deserve a fair opportunity in life.
The Ruxley Foundation was not created to replace public services or to supplement statutory costs which would normally be met by a government body, like the borough or county council. The charity is funded completely by charitable donations, is staffed by volunteers and has no paid employees.
