We might only be in October but I thought I’d show you these beautiful vintage greeting cards we have available.

Dating from the 1920’s they show a glimpse into how Christmas used to be celebrated. There are four pretty designs. Two are postcards which haven’t been written on and two are cards with hand written messages. Perfect for displaying around the home this Christmas time🎄

It’s seemed like it’s been one of those endless, hot summers. We’ve enjoyed beautiful summer days spending time together as family and making memories.
With the start of September and school resuming next week it always feels like the shorter days, crunching through leaves and drinking pumpkin spiced lattes is just around the corner.

A lovely few days with glorious weather ☀️ Took a boat ride where we saw seals and visited some beautiful beaches 🏖 Time to het packed up and onto the Cairngorms tomorrow

We’re off to seek cooler temperatures and are shortly heading up to Scotland for a family holiday. Looking forward to some walking, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery ⛰

We are going heavily armed with mosquito spray as I’ve heard it gets very bad up there in summer.

I love this time of year when all the summer fruits are ripe and ready to pick.

There’s always been an ongoing battle with the wildlife as to who gets to them first with the birds usually winning.

Now I tend to protect some bushes/trees and leave some to be enjoyed by the fauna in the garden. With several nests around the house and garden their is a lot of hungry parents and young who will appreciate the food.

Is there anything lovelier than a vase filled with dried flowers in the depth of winter. Memory’s of long summer days spent in the sunshine.

I enjoy experimenting with different flowers and ways of drying to see what works best.
