According to Florida Fish + Wildlife a jaw-dropping 96% of manatees have scars from being hit by a boat 🤯 These gentle giants are so curious it can be tempting to try to touch them or get too close but— When manatees become use to people for things like pets + water it causes them to lose their natural fear of boats+ humans which increases their chance of being hit 🥹 So what do you do in this situation? Enjoy the moment with your paddle out of the water until you have an opportunity to gently surface paddle away from the manatee until they lose interest. Most days I try to have activities planned where we’re scavenging, learning, seeing and feeling. The go go go.
But there is equal importance in the days where we just enjoy the stillness.

I don’t think I’ve ever done this, so thought it would be a fun first 🥰

5 Fun facts:
👩‍🏫 My career goal in grade 1 was to be a mom.
But I quickly learned “Vet” or “teacher” received better reactions, so that was my answer in every yearbook until 4th grade🙊

🎥 My dream job is to be a host for (I’ve sent in, I think 5 auditions 😂)

🤔 I overthink everything and will go “oh god” 🤦🏼‍♀️ out loud (almost once a day) at an embarrassing flashback of something I’ve done 😅 🛟
(Ex. I used to want to be a country singer, so at my birthdays I would make my friends sit down and be my “fans” at my “concert” and I’d sing for them 🫠😭😭😂 lives to tell the tale)

🚫I have never finished Bambi or The Lion King. I think they’re horrible movies and traumatized me as a kid lol fr fr 😢

My favourite fact?:
🩷My husband and I met in Texas, we both sold pest control door to door (so random😂) but we both actually lived in Ontario; went to the same university and had the same group of friends! Yet our paths only crossed when we were in the states 🥹

And another one? I love content creating and just expressing myself through here. As a mom it’s been my form of art and connection. So if you’ve made it this far 🙊🩷 thank you! And thank you for following along and engaging. I love connecting with my girlies 🩷🩷
