As we’re nearing the end of the year, some may feel anxious. A lot of pressure can come from expecting to make the year and the next ones worthwhile. Anxiety may seem like an unending nagging voice inside your head. However, Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress and can be beneficial in some situations. It can alert us to dangers and help us prepare and pay attention.

The weak breeze whispers nothing
The water screams sublime
His feet shift, teeter-totter
Deep breath, stand back, it’s time
Toes untouch the overpass
Soon he’s water bound
Eyes locked shut but peek to see

A river rich and regal
A flood of fond endorphins
