Obvious na jack russell terrier diba? Ito po ang unang step towards knowing what is the "breed type" is. Kasama po sa breed type ang tinatawag na "silhouette" or hugis/itsura ng a*o, meaning dapat po kahit malayo, malabo or kahit madilim pa yan. Kapag tinignan mo yung a*o natin, dapat mukhang jack russell terrier talaga. Yun po dapat ang unang papa*ok sa isip ng taong makakakita ng a*o na yan "Ay JRT yan".

Habang palapit ka ng palapit sa a*o, pangalawang mapapansin natin ay head expression or looks. Pag jack russell terrier dapat intelligent expression, smart, small v-shaped dropped ears, dark lined almond eyes, flat skull, parallel head planes, stop is well defined, muzzle is slightly shorter than skull. Napakahalagang factor rin po nito kapag tayo ay bumubusisi nang a*o. ang expression madalas pang determine kung saang breed kabilang ang isang a*o. Kasama na diyan ang pagbusisi natin sa iba pang parte ng a*o: head, sturdily built body yet balanced, chest is spannable girth , strong neck gradually tapering to withers, forequarters are straight & muscular strong hindquarters, tail is balanced thru top of the head and coat either smooth, broken and rough.

Ngayon pag nilapitan po ang a*o, pangatlong mapapansin natin ay ang ugali or "temperament". Kung ano po ang nasa standards dapat po gano'n din ang ugaling hahanapin natin. It should give the impression of strength. Fierce and confident looks pero hindi dapat aggressive. Family companion dapat.

**Surcharges for PCCI dog show entry fee if paid after the deadline of submission of entries:
a. 15% penalty if paid after the deadline but before the day of the show;
b. 30% penalty if paid on the day of the show.

Reminders to the Exhibitors:
• Exhibitors/Handlers/Helpers (Kennel Boy, drivers, Etc.) must be fully vaccinated. Must present vaccination cards & Valid ID upon entering the show premises.
• Face masks must be worn at all times.
• Health safety protocols will be strictly implemented.
• Memberships must be updated.
• Show Dogs need to be microchipped, NO MICROCHIP, NO ENTRY will be strictly enforced. (for dogs 6mos up)
• Please bring the updated vaccination records of your dog.
• Please be responsible. Pick-up after your dogs.

Don’t worry about what other breeders are doing. Work on yourself by self education on basic conformation, your breed’s history, and your breed standard. Work within your own kennel by breeding your best dog that fits the breed standard as best as you interpret the breed standard.
