Wait is a song for all the believers. Its a song of patience, hope, and resilience—a melody of unconditional love and the journey through thick and thin.

Its the song you sing to your loved ones so they know someone is there to support them no matter what, through their darkest nights, until the sun comes up.

Wait was written by me and my friend and fellow songwriter, Dennis Martin. It was produced by and the piano was played by Christopher Alexander Music. Dream team. Loved every second of making this record.

What a month!
I know i've been a little quiet on here but this month has been so full ✨✨ highlights below 💛💙

Got back from an incredible extended vacation in Vegas and had a sweet mix of friends, a wedding celebration, epic food, and my long lost love, electronic music (first major festival since the pandemic!) - it was such a nice boost to get away, socialize, and experience the warm ☀️

I have also been working hard on music release plans, vocal training + writing new music. Suffice to say I'm going to be a busy 🐝 this summer and things are definitely percolating in the background despite what's not happening on here haha 🤣😁

💪🥗I have been leveling up my health game and am doing a morning walk + eating a salad every day which has been a game changer. I feel much better in my body and it's also really helping support my singing stamina/vocal health.

🎧And finally, I just got these amazing noise-cancelling Sony headphones (WH-1000XM4) that I couldn't resist sharing bc they're my new obsession (and new walking companion! 🤩)

Flashback to last month when I was working on the mix for Embers Acoustic. To share a bit more about the process: what I actually did was I dragged my original vocals into a session (from the original Embers) and mixed them with the new guitar track. It sounded ok....BUT I quickly realized that wasn't going to hit the way I wanted it to so I re-recorded all the vocals to be lighter, delicate, and more of a chill, around-the-campfire vibe 😊 I was relentless and spent a few weeks on and off revisiting the mix, making tweaks here and there, and playing around + learning more about vocal production. Fun fact: though I'm ALWAYS heavily involved with the whole production process but this is actually my first release where I mixed & mastered everything myself! Proud of this first run (though it took many years it took for me to get to this point) 💪🙌 Who else produces their own music? Shout out to all the other artist-producers out there, especially the ladies 😉 👩‍💻🎹🎸 💖💖💖🌈

I dreamt up an idea for this video after playing Embers for friends during a trip to Tahoe. I've always loved exploring cabins in northern CA and since Embers is a cozy, around-the-campfire song, it felt right to bring everyone into the woods!
I was pretty nervous when we started filming (and even contemplated making an abstract video that didn't show my face) but after a few crap takes at our cabin in Twain Harte in chilly November, I found my groove and ended up having a ton of fun! The video was filmed and edited by James Lignell and co-produced by us both, DIY. Hope you Like it, Share it, and Follow us into the world of Embers.

My new song, Embers, is out today! Embers is a song about being in love but also being scared sh*tless. It's about reflecting on that warm fuzzy feeling of having "your person," but also having a deep unimaginable fear of life without them. It's about building that fire, that foundation, having that spirit, and believing that the embers you have won't die down.

I wrote Embers in winter of 2021, with the storm and anxiety of the pandemic swirling around outside, but luckily I was stay safe inside, nestled in the comfort and safety of home, love, and at times a warm fire 🔥🔥🔥

Taking a moment to celebrate the fact that Yesterday's Story placed 2nd in the pop category for Indie International's songwriting competition this year 🎉 Special thanks to one of my TSA mentors who pushed me to rewrite aspects of this song during its infancy. Though I've been a songwriter forever, it was only in the last few years that I took myself seriously and really invested time in my craft. Songwriting has not been easy and it's definitely not for the faint of heart, but I love it sooo much and I have no regrets in the (long) steps I took to get here 🙏

I started writing this folk-pop ballad almost two years ago, at the start of the pandemic. It all started with the piano riff, and the first lyric "we had the wires crossed"...I felt this urge to express the messy parts of letting go of the past, something I've struggled with over and over again in my life...and something I think a lot of people struggle with. Yesterday's Story is my way of expressing the circular cycle of holding on, but also the beauty of knowing when to move on, even when it's hard. This song was brought to life with the help of Michael Costelloe (guitar) and (production, mixing). I'm forever grateful to them and you for listening to it.
