Teamwork is Critical in Equine Ringbone Cases If you’ve suffered from a bone spur, you can imagine how ringbone feels to a horse. Some level of discomfort accompanies each step. Swelling might or might not be present, but one thing is for sure, the bony growth interferes with mobility. The same is true for horses.

Hold off and let the horse heal before calling the farrier if they have casted. Their bodies are sore and may have swelling and inflammation.

What a big day for this Friesian filly, under run heels, distortions and cracks addressed removed. I stood her up and the joy I get from seeing her body relax from the changes. She was ready run and move around 🥰🥰🥰 trim #1 in a few trim cycles and these hooves will be really nice.
