Anne Marie Ortega and Maria Lake were awarded second place overall after an excellent tournament and a strong performance in the Final.

In addition, the Best Preliminary Round Oralist was awarded to Kate Maxwell for her strong performance in the Preliminary Rounds of the 1L Tournament.

The remaining 1L oralists on the Moot Court Board will be chosen to join next year’s Board after an extensive review of the preliminary rounds of the tournament by our selection committee this summer. The Moot Court Board also encourages all 1Ls to submit their briefs to be considered for our 6 brief writer positions.

Finally, congratulations to all of the teams that competed in the Tournament and tried out for Moot Court. The Board was very impressed with all of your performances and hope the 1L tournament was a rewarding experience for all who participated.

Support Moot Court in #NDday! | Notre Dame Day 2022 22/04/2022

Our ND Day page is open for donations from now until April 25! We would greatly appreciate any support that you can give to the Moot Court Board this year. All donations go directly to the Board and help cover various costs throughout the year.

One of our biggest expenses is covering entry fees for any additional tournaments that our members choose to participate in. While fees associated with our primary 3L competitions are covered by the Law School, we encourage our members to participate in other tournaments as well, especially in their 2L year. Your generous donations would allow us to cover the entry fees (typically between $350-$550 per team, although costs vary) and ideally to cover some of their travel costs as well. These competitions are valuable experiences and we hope to be able to support more of our members in taking advantage of these opportunities next year.

Our other expenses include costs associated with running the 1L Tournament and the Religious Freedom Tournament (including promotional materials, awards, and the 1L Tournament bracket), improvements to the Moot Court Board room, and hosting social events for team bonding.

Thank you for supporting the NDLS Moot Court Board!
