This has been on my heart heavy this morning and it’s something I really want to change about myself. It can be easy to let the negativity we experience in our environment affect our attitude, but the truth is that our positive attitude should be affecting the negativity in our environment.
If you have an issue with someone in your family, at your job, in your class etc, talk to them about it. It takes courage and maturity to be able to work through conflict but on the other side of that conflict is the potential for healing, mutual understanding, mutual respect, & forward progress.
If your environment is toxic, I challenge you to control the only thing you can, YOURSELF! Take some time to identify some positive things about everyone in your environment and only speak those things about them to other people. Make that a habit and then allow that habit to become part of your character. Easier said than done right? Actually, it’s very possible if we’re willing and determined to do the work to get it done. 🖤
