Do you need internet service but can't afford it? The CENTER has partnered with the Federal Communications Commission to help those that qualify receive access to free Broadband internet and $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. Qualifications:
* Has an income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, or Lifeline;
* Approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA
* Community Eligibility Provision in the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 school year;
* Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year;
* Experienced a substantial loss of income due to job loss or furlough since February 29, 2020 and the household had a total income in 2020 at or below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers; or
Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider's existing low-income or COVID-19 program

TEAM CENTER! We have a citizen in need that is at threat of their electricity being disconnected. They have health issues and just got home from the hospital. Total bill is $300. Hello community. We have a single mother who is in need. Her car was burned up due to the car parked next to it catching on fire. She has also been told she has to move from her apartment due to renovations and is facing homelessness. We are asking that you help pitch in so that we can help her care for her 3 children! Man had no shoes on asked could he just come in to warm up, it’s a real need here in our city not only were we able to give him some shoes but get him a hot meal.
