Today is the Feast of St.Francis of Assisi. We Pray: "LORD, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life." GODmorning!

Today is the Feast of Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. In remembering them, we thank GOD who, out of His love for us, sent His angels to guide, protect and enlighten us. Angels are real. Pray to them often, to our Guardian Angel, when we travel, when we are in need or in trouble, or when our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy. "Angel of GOD, my guardian dear..." GODmorning!

Today is the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz and his martyr-companions. They lived and died for something or someone greater than themselves, braving deprivations, persecutions, and even death. They made a choice to suffer and die for their faith. Like them, we are called to make a choice for GOD, for goodness, for righteousness! GODmorning!

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In today's Gospel (Mt.20:1-16), JESUS tells His disciples: "Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last." Who indeed can know the mind of GOD?" And who are we to impose upon GOD our own standards and measures? Let us stop complaining, grumbling, and comparing ourselves with others. Let us focus on GOD, not on each other, in our journey to His heart. Those who always grumble, complain, and compare themselves with others are insecure persons. Sure, there are such things as fairness and fair play, but there are also such things as grace and generosity. The former can imprison us, and the latter can liberate us. Remember: "If you compare yourself with others, you may become bitter, for always there will be lesser or greater persons than yourself." GODmorning!

Think about this: Today, let us give ourselves a break from our selfishness and pride which are the roots of our stress, miseries and sadness. Let us give ourselves a break from our bad habits, vices, negative attitudes, shallow mindness. Sin imprison us. Love and forgiveness set us free. GODmorning!
