All of the cheesecakes, perogies, and hot sauce have been delivered. All of the cooking is done. And now we're taking a break!

Moosekat Foodz will be closed until the new year. The last few weeks have been so busy, which we are so thankful for, but we definitely need a break to enjoy some time with our families.

Thank you so so much to everyone who allowed us to be part of your holiday season. We cannot believe the support we received from our pre-made products to private catering.

Thank you as well to everyone who supported us this year. We wouldn't be here without all of you and we feel very lucky.

Our combined Perogie, Mini Cheesecake, and Hot Sauce sale will be 6 PM on Sunday December 12th.

Pierogies will be first come first serve as always.

We'll be taking the orders for the cheesecakes, but if you are ordering more than a dozen feel free to message now about those.

We'll also be taking the orders for hot sauces, either individually or in a gift pack of three!

Orders over $25 get free delivery in Lethbridge. Anything under that we can arrange for pickup. We'll be working out those details as you order.

We ❤️ soup season!

Our newest recipe is Poblano Corn Chowder!

This soup is warm in temperature and also in spice. It's a really subtle spice with the poblanos and a small amount of jalapeno. Of course, you can tone it down by taking out the jalapeno if you prefer.

It's creamy and comforting, and you can make it creamier by using an immersion blender when it is all done too. We did not and it is still amazing!

Okay so we know this isn't a small town restaurant, but so many people don't know about Jollibee or have never been so we decided we would make a post on it too.

Driving from Bonnyville to Red Deer we had to go back through Edmonton, and we really wanted somewhere quick to stop that wasn't out of our way. Well Jollibee checked all those boxes. Fi goes to Jollibee every time she's in Edmonton, but Ro had never tried it. There's also locations in Calgary.

This is probably some of the best fast food you're ever going to find; especially the fried chicken. They originated in the Philippines and are insanely popular there. In fact if you have time go Google some of the videos and you'll get to see the Jollibee dance and party 😂

So we tried a little bit of everything. We had regular and spicy fried chicken, yum burgers, fries, Palabok Fiesta (noodles with pork, shrimp, and egg in a garlic sauce), and ube pie.

Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you order. The fried chicken is so crispy and juicy. The spicy version is spicy so beware if that's not your thing. The yum burgers are like White Castle burgers. They're smaller and they have a special almost thousand Island like sauce on them. And normally I (Fi) would recommend you try the Jolli spaghetti. The Filipinos make their spaghetti a little different and it's definitely worth trying once at least.

Next time you're near one definitely stop in and give them a try!

Our Chicken & Sweet Potato Stew is the perfect fall meal. It's creamy and "stick to your ribs" hearty. It's also full of lean protein, and nutritious veggies. And the dill adds the perfect punch of flavour!

Did we mention this freezes well? Oh it does! The recipe makes a giant pot (though you can cut it in half and have a manageable amount of servings 🤣), so you can fully stock yourself up for those chilly fall (and winter 🌨️) days!

We have recreated our Sicilian Serendipity hot sauce in a small batch! This one is milder than the last batch. We didn't quite nail the recreation without the mystery peppers, this time, but the flavour is still amazing, and we thought this might open the door for some people who don't quite like as much spice to try it.

5 jars is all we have left, and they sold out really fast last time!

We've heard from some of you that you enjoyed it on tacos, added to Asian noodles, everything they can get their hands on (yes that is legit feedback we got 😂 and we love it)!

You can also add some cream to this to make a great pasta sauce.

Stop #5 - St. Paul - Twisted Fork

All of the places we went on our trip were absolutely amazing, but if we had to pick a favourite it was definitely Twisted Fork!

They have such a unique menu; there's something for everyone! They also support local farmers and producers, and we are all about that!

The food was amazing! Absolutely amazing! We started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip which had just the right amount of kick, and was so creamy, and the Newfoundland Blues that were cooked perfectly and the wine sauce was so delicious! For mains we had the Butcher's Block Ribeye. It was cooked exactly as ordered, and was so tender and juicy, and the biggest hunk of meat you could have hoped for! We also had the Cocoa Salmon. Whoever came up with putting cocoa on salmon is a genius, and will definitely be cooking it like that at home now!

Dessert was a raspberry white chocolate creme brulee. Like everything else it was perfect! A great flavour combination, and so creamy. Completed the meal just right!

Not only was the food we ate there amazing, but they also have preserves and sauces you can take home and they were phenomenal too! It was so great to get to take a little piece of our favourite restaurant back to Lethbridge with us.

Now, we'd be doing a disservice here if we also didn't tell you how amazing and friendly the staff were! We had some great conversations with them while we were there, and they alone are worth the trip to St. Paul! But the food won't disappoint you either 🤤

This weekend was the first time we offered snickerdoodle mini cheesecakes, and we think they turned out pretty amazing! Sometimes we blow our own minds 🤯😂

These paired perfectly with a hot coffee on a fall afternoon!

We hope all of you who ordered them, for Thanksgiving or just a little treat, enjoyed them!
