This month we honor our Asian American Pacific Islander Soldiers and their long-standing legacy of service to our great Nation. Soldiers like, retired Gen. Eric Shinseki, who served as the 34th Army Chief of Staff and completed two combat tours in Vietnam. Soldiers like, Sen. Daniel Inouye, who fought with the brave Soldiers of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (Nisei) during WWII. They’re a great example of the courage and heroism of our Asian American Pacific Islander Soldiers. I am extremely proud of what they have done. And I’m proud of those who continue to carry on their legacy.
This is the type of attitude we like to see!
Go do great things this week.
