"Lama Sangha Tenzin"
According to local folklore, Tenzin sacrificed his life for the survival of the village from scorpions. Legend says the mummy is alive and hence became known as "living Buddha". Legend claims that the hair and nails are still growing. The mummy is self- mummified, meaning that it was not artificially preserved or exposed to chemical preservatives, making it a "natural mummy". It belongs to a 15th-century Buddhist monastery.
Some local people worship the mummy as a "living God". It is believed that when Tenzin's soul left his body, a rainbow appeared in the sky and the village was freed from scorpions forever.

Ladakh road trip 1 October 2021 .
This will be the last road trip to Ladakh of 2021. After this, the road will be closed on October 15th and will open only next season in 2022.

Aghanjar Mahadev Temple.
Aghanjar Mahadev temple is dedicated to lord shiva. Believed to have been built around 600 years ago, the temple is nestled amidst bounteous forests and emerald mountain peaks.

The legend goes to say that arjun - one among the five pandava brothers - was once on his way to kailash parbat for a fight with the kauravas. When he reached this spot, lord shiva appeared before him and blessed him to win the war. The aghanjar mahadev temple has been a revered place of worship ever since.

Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake spanning eastern Ladakh and West Tibet situated at an elevation of 4,225 m. It is 134 km long and divided into five sublakes, called Pangong Tso, Tso Nyak, Rum Tso and Nyak Tso.
