I promise you, things are happening here and this account is going to be so much more than it has been up until this point. 💃🏻🧙🏻💚

When I first started City Witch Apothecary and subsequently, this account, I always pictured it as more of a lifestyle kind of page that was much more personal than just photos of my soaps and products etc. (not that there's anything wrong with that), it just isn't what I'd pictured. But I gave in to what others told me was the safe option or what they considered to be the best option. Instead I'm going going take risks and try things 🙂 if you're still reading this, continue to follow along on this journey of city living, witch living, soap making, oil blending, tea blending (?), and whatever else life throws my way.

I love getting to play and the end of soap pouring and make the tops fun!

Close your eyes and imagine walking through a field of lavender at dusk, or under the light of the moon...maybe you're wearing a night gown...maybe you're shrieking with the wind..or just having a peaceful stroll. Either way, the lavender and charcoal in this facial soap are sure to help pull out imperfections and soothe the skin. 💜🖤

It had occurred to me a while back that I've never actually posted my face on this account and that, among many other things, is changing! I plan on being much more involved and much more active here. So, get to know me a little. Hi, my name is Jessica and I am the City Witch!
1. I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday (4 elements around my belly button). Since then I've gotten at least 10 more...
2. I got my first parking ticket the same day! (while I was getting the tattoo)
3. I grew up in a rural town in Ontario
3.5. I moved to the city for university and never left
4. I moonlight as a baker in my day to day life
5. I'm a Gemini sun, Sagittarius moon, Leo rising

Just a little packaging appreciation. A lot of decisions had to be made to get to where I am and I'm proud of it all and how everything looks together 😌

Licorice is always a hit or miss with people, I love the scent of black licorice but I do not like the taste.......which makes licorice soap perfect!

When I was developing this soap I wanted to take the idea of the forest bath into my shower, to be able to close my eyes and smell the trees and wild mint. The mint also leaves the skin feeling tingly 🧖🏼‍♀️

We've all heard "tastes awful but it works," how about SMELLS awful but it works. I know very few people who enjoy the smell of valerian, but I also know few who don't enjoy it's benefits when having trouble sleeping! Valerian infused olive oil is the main working ingredient in my sleep salve (which works best applied to the bottoms of the feet...far away from the nose don't worry 😝).

Winter Woodsman soaptop, I actually love how this soap turned out so much, I have a bar of it in my shower right now and am enjoying it very much! Close my eyes. Inhale. Exhale, relax into the calming aromas of a modern woodsman's cabin...perhaps the steamroom 🧖🏻‍♀️
