The Traveling Pheasant
Mobile coffee bar that fosters success by providing an opportunity to re-charge, connect and get inspired over a hand-crafted cup.
The Traveling Pheasant provides fuel that motivates, comforts and inspires people to achieve goals and better the world around them. Our unique environment serves delicious travel inspired, hand-crafted coffee and focuses on the very reason why people drink coffee...
We drink coffee when we need motivation to succeed. We drink coffee to recharge and reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones. The Traveling Pheasant is here to provide that fuel and opportunity.
Back when I was working in Melrose, Scotland, I starting a pool with my coworkers on if the royal baby would be a boy or girl and what their name would be. I cannot belive how that was 10 years ago and yet feels like yeaterday...
Wishing Prince George a very happy 10th Birthday!
Wishing everyone a joyous, sunny Easter morning filled with coffee and peeps! 🐣
Dreaming of the warmer weather spring will bring so that I can once again enjoy my morning coffee on the deck.
Although the fountain water is still frozen, the daffodils emerging all around remind me that we have turned a page.
Happy first day of Spring!
Happy International Women's Day to all of the inspirational, creative and kick butt ladies out there who run on coffee (and tea)!

This "whispers" poem spoke to me, and I was inspired to add in the last line 😉
The Traveling Pheasant blog is back at it! This session, I battle rain by removing and restoring the exterior rain guard and caulking like nobody's business.

The 150th Open Championship begins today in St. Andrews!
Drinking from my mug this morning, I was definately wishing I was back in the old grey toon 🥲
Fun Fact: When I was a student, I lived on The Scores, right behind the R&A (best student accomodation in town!) and walked pased the 1st &18th of the Old Course every day to get to class. Oh, I miss those days!
I've seen this saying before but never had it been so hysterically applicable to me than this weekend!
I ran out of milk so I couldn't make my morning cup and I wasn't happy. I attempted tea instead and I just couldn't do it. I ran out in my PJs to get milk because nothing can replace my morning cup!
Don't get me wrong, I love tea, but not first thing in the morning 🤣
Now, I just made an afternoon cup (cup no.3). What about you, What number are you on? Lol
I blame it on trying to get into gear after a holiday weekend.
Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸☕️
Bust out the bunting! Happy Platinum Jubilee to Queen Elizabeth II 👑 70 years as head of state through an ever changing, tumultuous world is certainly an achievement xx

If you're feeling overwhelmed lately, know that you are not alone!
Grab an extra large mug (and maybe a double shot) and take a few minutes to breathe- we can do this!
Anyone else totally forget about the clocks changing and woke up wondering how the heck you slept so long, and are now having breakfast for lunch? 🤦🏼♀️☕
Happy International Women's Day to my fellow dreamchasers, doing all the hard stuff 💐💪☕
March 4th is National Unplug Day, and we have to say, we are ready to embrace it!
Take the day to carve out precious time to unplug so you can relax, reflect, be active and get outdoors (weather permitting!)
Ditch the scrolling through social media and eliminate the FOMO and unhealthy comparisons.
Grab a cup of coffee and find joy with loved ones - or even some quiet time to connect with yourself!
Happy Weekend!
Rise & Grind ☀️☕
Working on exciting progress this weekend!
Inspiration comes from everywhere. Books, art, movies, music and of course a cup of coffee!
I was inspired recently rewatching Downton Abby to buy a breakfast tray and try breakfast in bed to feel Lady Grantham fancy. I NEVER eat in bed and am normally so distracted with one thing or another, that I eat on the go and sitting down is a rarity. It was fun (although I must say HARD) to sit still, relax and eat slowly – enjoying the morning sun.
Wishing you an inspirational and restful weekend! Drop us a line and share something that inspired you 😊
I saw this quote a freind posted during a time I was frustrated and unhappy. It spoke to me like an awakening and that very night I sat down and wrote down all my goals and plans for businesses I wanted to start. One among them was The Traveling Pheasant. I dont think my friend knows that her simple post was the catalist that kicked me into action 😊☕
I share it now in hopes of inpiring others the way that it inspired me.
"A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by actions makes your dreams come true"
- Greg Reid
Get out there, you can do it! 💪
Breakfast of champions ☕🍫🍓
Happy Valentines Day!
We love & are greatful for our coffee machine & chocolate! 🤣
It's 2022 and The Blog is back! This new post documents how The Traveling Pheasant battled extreme heat last summer to install new flooring during the horse trailer renovation into mobile coffee bar. This new groundwork continues the waterproofing process and is another step closer to begin our interior build out.

I have always loved board games as a great way to spend time with family and friends.
During the early stages of lockdown when I had to isolate from my mom because she is a Healthcare worker, we used to play Yahtzee over video calls; playing on our own boards. Much laughter ensued over allegations of cheating on rolls 🤣
Now that we don't have to distance, games like these are still fun to play with those who live far away and makes the connection feel nearer to home.
I hope you have a fun weekend with laughter, friends, family and coffee!

The smell of fresh ground coffee = True Love! 💘
I love when I first walk through my front door and my first inhale is warmth and coffee grounds ☕
Today we celebrate a new month, a fresh start and the Lunar New Year. This is the year is the Year of the Tiger & The Traveling Pheasant is channeling it’s fierce, determined spirit. We are coming for you 2022! 🐅
These are the comical opening lines to Robert Burn’s poem “Address to the Haggis”. Reading the old Scots dialect it is not only hard to understand, but almost impossible to get the rhyme and rhythm. Hearing it performed, however, sounds musical and very impressive.
I will never forget when I heard it during my first Burns Night in 2013 when I was living in the Scottish Border town of Melrose. My coworker invited me and our other colleagues to her town's local celebration, and I had no idea what to expect.
Seated at long tables in a dark, candle filled room, the haggis was paraded in by bagpipers and the evening’s host recited the address.
The whole supper is to toast to the life and legacy of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Bard and author of many works, perhaps most famously, “Auld Lang Syne”.
The traditional meal consists not only of haggis but of neeps (turnips), tatties (potatoes) and of course, copious amounts of whisky. My FAVORITE part, and the one that I miss the most, is the joyous ceilidh that follows. A ceilidh is a brilliant party with Scottish folk music, singing and traditional dancing that is more like an aerobic workout. Hopping, twirling and reeling down lines and in and out of circles, you have the time of your life.
Sadly, no photos of my Burns Nights remain after the disastrous hard drive crash of 2018, but thankfully I have my happy memories.
Tonight, I raise my glass and toast the Scots (and my fellow Scots-at-heart) as I dance around my living room! Slàinte Mhath # # #
