James Anson Funderburgh è il frontman del gruppo “The Rockets” dal 1978. Con questo gruppo ha pubblicato l'album di debutto “Talk To You By Hand” nel 1981. Nel 1985, l'armonicista e cantante del Mississippi Sam Myers si unì al gruppo. Gli intenditori dicono che il modo di suonare la chitarra di questo virtuoso della chitarra texano raggiunge il livello di grandi come T-Bone Walker, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Albert Collins, Jimmie Vaughan...

Nidaros Blues Festival in Norway! April 2020!

Som første festival ikke bare i Norge, men også som første festival i Europa kan Nidaros Blues nå presentere denne fantastiske kraftpakken. Tre av de store nålevende bluesgitaristene fra Texas har slått seg sammen for å presentere Texas-blues av aller beste sort. Det er en form for country blues som utviklet seg utover på 1920-tallet i de fattige afroamerikanske miljøene i de texanske storbyene Dallas, San Antonio og Houston. Texas-blues skiller seg fra andre typer blues spesielt gjennom instrumentbruk og sound, særlig da bruken av gitarer. Hver for seg er alle disse tre eminente gitarister, og det vil nok bli et trøkk av de sjeldne når de står på scenen samtidig og med sin utmerkede rytmeseksjon i ryggen. Sal opp hesten folkens, you`re going down to Texas.
