Usually seen with boards strapped to its flanks and a bearded, smiling figure behind the wheel ( ), the aptly named Dog House can be spotted taking the not too scenic route up (or down) the A1 - depending on the swell.

**LS / FF 23 ROUND-UP*
We were lucky enough to be handed a couple of VIP tickets (gold wrist bands and all) to this year's London Surf / Film Festival 23. So on Thursday and Friday evenings, we packed up early from the office and headed across London to Riverside Studios () in Hammersmith.
Here we were met by old friends, new faces, and a room packed full of creators and surfers sharing their stories on the silver screen.
We first want to say a huge thank you to Demi Taylor () and Chris Nelson () for putting on such an incredible event. They truly are legends in the game - supporting young talent, giving surf filmmakers a platform to share their work a little wider, and hosting a beautiful festival of surf in the heart (just to the left actually) of London.
We appreciate you.

One to watch this coming London Surf / Film Festival:
**There And Back Again // A film by Robert Blackett**
A journey North for new cold water experiences and waves of serious consequence (see image 1 for reference) with Woody New and a wild forecast to accompany.
Lucy Small () is a prominent social and environmental campaigner, as well as an award winning filmmaker. She made headlines back in 2021, calling out the organisers at a surf contest awards ceremony over prize money disparity between the men’s and women’s categories - this has caused a real shift in how contests are run and the gender split of prize purses.
As headine sponsors of the LS / FF 12 Shorties, we wanted to shed some light on Lucy’s recent project in collaboration with Maddie Meddings () entitled YAMA.
This film will be premiered as part of this year’s x hosted 23 - 25 November at … We hope to see you there.
In collaboration with , Neil Jones crafted the aptly named 'Floater' from recycled materials and raw sewage collected from Cornwall's St.Agnes and Godrevy. There's sewage mixed up in the resin, as well as 2 litres in the deck panel - not unlike the current situation in UK rivers.
The figures are staggering and this film is well worth a watch to learn a little more about why the UK is consistently ranked as one of the worst in Europe for water quality.

The North Sea is a much misunderstood, miscast body of water. It’s not just grey, foreboding, malevolent, it has a spectrum of moods, characters and hues. Set to jazz and drawing a line through bruised barrels and kelp beds Sandy Kerr introduces us to the many delights, the many colours of the North.photo

Huru // Dir. Oli Adams
“Huru was a passion piece we did on one of the most beautiful lands on earth. I was born in the UK but spent a good portion of my childhood living in New Zealand. After many years since my last visit, I wanted to go back and capture the feel of the magical green land, and the long lefts that make it so special.” Oli Adams

I’m Still Dreaming of Being a Surfer // Dir. Jay Amin
“I met Anthony during a three month trip to Ghana, a lovely, kind and gentle young man, and an awesome young aspiring surfer. Anthony often sent me these short voice note messages when I returned back to the UK. I found them simple yet touching, so I lifted the voice note and visualised it from some footage I had of him and the beautiful town of Busua.”amin_j.amin
