Last leg of the Star Wars Marathon
I'm not officially committed to any of the October drawing challenges but I do feel a stronger urge to create. Must be in the air. Here's a bunch of (mostly) cats
Ouch. I loved this guy.
Quick charcoal sketch of my new favorite Spider-Man, Hobie Brown, AKA Spider-Punk! Can't get the movie out of my head. The amount of creativity bursting from the screen is breathtaking. Can't wait to see it again.
Have a great Friday and a lovely weekend. What out for moles. They're great workers but don't see so good. #
Have yourself a great weekend!
My obsession with weird cars driven by animal characters continues.
This show is the best unexpected December treat a Tim Burton fan could ever want. I'm loving everything about it.
Something new I just finished based on a very short character description, not even a full story. I may post the image of the entire bike later. I ended up cropping it because it works better but I kind of want credit for painting the entire bike just because they aren't easy to do and I want some credit for doing it!
I lost steam with the whole Inktober thing but here's a three image narrative I did for a contest with the theme "Tiny Wonders". I based it on a memory with my son from a camping trip. I didn't have time for the fourth image which was going to be an establishing shot at the beginning, but it still works.
Cleaning up an old hard drive, so here's an ancient sketch dump. Some of these are over twenty years old! Made me realize why I keep making art. It's certainly not for the money, as I've yet to get any big breaks. It's because when I'm creating it's the only time I truly feel like myself.
Today is so why not check out my portfolio?! Even better, share it with as many people as possible! Or best yet, hire me to create some amazing illustrations!!!
My prompts for today are "flame" from "circus" from and "bow" from Not sure about you all, but when I add those three words, there's only one image that comes to mind!
Not a lot of time today, so I HARVESTed this from my sketchbook and added some color. See what I did there? Because the word toda... nevermind.
A big cauldron of magic for your Sunday.
Little known fact...I have always loved Robin! As a little fella I used to wear my yellow cape every day, even at school. If you think about it, he's a very unlikely character. An orphaned trapeze artist who fights crime in a gritty underworld in a costume that does nothing but attract attention. Let's not even get into the negligence of his partner/ guardian! But he was always relatable as a kid, unlike all the superpowered muscle men and women. So, here he is trying to enjoy a moment to himself, sitting atop a gargoyle. I took the prompt from but obviously not using ink! I may or may not continue for the month. If anyone is interested it's yours for $60. Shipping included. DM me.
Yes, everyone knows I love Star Wars, but do you know how much I love Rogue One in particular? It's in my top three. I'm all in for Andor.
Game of Thrones sketching. I wasn't sure at first but now things are getting juicy. So many wonderful faces, costumes and settings to draw! Gotta feel for Sir Criston. I think my favorite is Daemon so far. Who's your favorite?
Just a friendly reminder that all home decor products over at Society6 are 25% off. But you better hurry-- it ends tonight!

A little guy and his cat in a pink chair. Nuff said.
just a bunch of mushrooms
Keeping my Photoshop skills sharp whilst playing with some character designs. Restricting myself to basic shapes helps simplify and makes me think of better solutions.
I don't always draw goofy animals and vehicles! I went to a figure drawing session this morning and can't wait to do some more.
Here it is! The boat race nobody asked for, but maybe you needed. Honestly, this just evolved from me drawing some odd buildings in my sketchbook. There were some other characters and vehicles that didn't make it to the final, even though I really loved some of them. Maybe they'll make an appearance somewhere else. I hope it's smooth sailing for you all this weekend and beyond!
Another couple of characters from my work in progress. This voyage is not entirely enjoyable for everyone!
