After working out of my Nissan Qashqai for a while, I managed to get it to breaking point, so I plucked up the courage to invest in a Mitsubishi L200 Animal, that I’ve always had my eye on & is much more work appropriate for 😁🛻

Also decided that the bed of the truck was way too small so picked up a brand new 7x4, caged, Ifor Williams trailer for good measure. This has been so handy to get rid of garden waste & bring all equipment to jobs so we’re always prepared. Best work investment yet 👌🏼

It has also allowed us to take the business to the next level as well as looking a lot more professional 👍🏡🛠️💚👨‍🌾

Always nice to break up the regular work with some fence replacement 🛠️
Not only does it enhance the overall look of the garden but it also ensures the fence is now solid & not going anywhere.

1 of our customers has had a fence in their garden since they moved into their home which has had many repairs since but they eventually decided to get it completely removed & replaced with ‘bare root’ Copper Beech hedging to match the existing hedge. 🛠️

Second part of this large patio jet wash, complete 🧼

Originally the garden was full of black dirt all over & with a simple jet wash & clean up it looks like a complete different space 😁🏡

This Bamboo was planted when the whole garden was originally relandscaped & has been left to its own devices ever since. 😁

The reason being, was to allow it to become fairly tall & dense to help screen the playing fields behind. Between the customer & ourselves, we decided it was time to ‘do something with it’. So we set about building a framework using 3”x3” posts, set in concrete to below ground level to ensure no flex/movement with 1.2mm wire & heavy duty tensioners & eyes, to keep the Bamboo from leaning over the patio.

We then stripped all leaves & offshoots to just above framework height, cleared all debris & leaves from the base & finished by putting a level on the top.
Resulting in a much neater & more visually appealing backdrop to this lovely seating area.🏡

One of our regular maintenance garden’s had a very old Cherry tree that needed a small reduction & reshape as it was blocking too much light from the patio.
This will have a great impact on how the overall garden looks as it’s the final tree to be given a proper DnB shape up ✂️☀️

Getting on with the 2nd of 3 trees in this regular maintenance garden 🌳

This one required a heavy reduction as well as removing a lot of dead wood & intertwining branches leaving behind a much more manageable & better shaped tree that will flourish come spring 🍎🍏

We were asked to cut back & trim round windows/top of this ivy growing up the front of this house.
Ivy can look beautiful growing on buildings, as long as it’s maintained, so the idea was to take out some of the weight & get it presentable 🤝✂️

Let’s get some pruning done 😁👍

Firstly, we had a cherry that is being trained to spread outwards rather than upwards!

Secondly, we have 1 of 3 apple trees in this particular garden that we’ll be pruning to encourage growth lower down & to yield a better crop in the coming year!

It’s always exciting in our job to see the outcome of what we have worked on, the fruit of our labour 🍎💚

We have cleared all leaves, thoroughly weeded all borders & removed the dead tree, all ready for spring 🌼🌿

Jet wash for this patio all finished! Although it needed a good clean up, the main reason for this jet wash was because certain parts of the patio had become very slippery due to the algae, but once completed it brightened up this part of the garden, resulting in a very happy customer that also decided to book their patio & driveway in before we had left 🙂👍

We; Dug up & removed all old, dead Box hedge (Buxus) & replaced with bare root Yew hedging, with a whole load of new compost & Rootgrow for good measure 🫶🏡

Very pleased with how this has turned out & what a difference it has made to the overall look!

This large raised border is now ready to have new creeping, shrub & climbing roses planted, after being neglected & completely filled with weeds & unloved roses 🌹

We thoroughly weeded & removed around 8 inches of soil & then replaced with 3 tonnes of fresh topsoil/compost.

Then finished by giving the current roses a hard prune to encourage them to reshoot lower down the plant & give a new lease of life for next year 🏡💚

Another regular maintenance visit to this lovely garden! Here’s what we got up to on this particular visit; A lot of leaves cleared, borders weeded/scratched over/reedged & removed a large, self sown grass & replaced with 2 small pleached Photinia ‘Red Robin’ to eventually cover just the lower section of trellis 🙂
