Simple, but effective meal prep ππ»π₯π₯ My chicken thigh meal prep has been a staple for years now, itβs high protein, has essential fats (although I donβt eat the skin), is quick to make and is super tasty! Ingredients: Chicken thighs (quantity depends on macros) Potatoes (quantity depends on macros) 3-6 Onions Green vegetables (quantity depends on how many portions you are making. Olive oil (measure it if counting macros) Fresh rosemary Salt Pepper Garlic granules Recipe: Preheat oven 180degrees Slice potatoes Put them in a big tray Cut the onions in halves Add chicken thighs Add fresh rosemary, salt, pepper, garlic granules, olive oil Throw in the oven for 45-50mins Whilst thatβs cooking prep veg and boil for needed time Thatβs it! Old-time Strength/ Endurance/ Isometric test ποΈ Recently I have been obsessed with how people trained through history. All the way from Ancient Greece to now. Today I took a test from @mindpumpmedia βs Old-time Maps program to see where I currently am. The video is just the strength tests that I did, below was the full test and my results: β’ Single arm deadlift 1RM 80kg β’ Barbell Bent press 1RM 17.5kg (couldnβt do with left arm) β’ Barbell Hack Squat 1RM 150kg (shaky in the middle) β’ Hindu push ups AMRAP 8 reps π β’ Front squat 50% body weight: 45kg 22 reps β’ Seesaw press 15% bodyweight: 12.5kg (couldnβt find exact number) 25 reps β’ One arm overhead carry 50% BW for time: 44kg FAILED π₯² β’ Barbell suitcase carry for time: 70% BW for time: 62.5kg 14 secs β’ Chin up hold for time: 30 secs Try it out! I canβt stress enough that form is the most important part of this exercise and once you are confident at it, then you can increase the weight. It has so many benefits, here are a few: πΈ Helps you understand the hip hinge mechanic which is important for a lot of exercises and builds strength in the hip πΈ Helps develop strength and muscle throughout the body, as the whole body contributes in lifting up that weight πΈ Can reduce lower back pain πΈ Massively increases your grip strength which helps tremendously with other exercises.
